Writer's POV The smoke was intense and a few of the law enforcers fainted from smoke inhalation and had to be rushed to the nearest hospital. The reporters were all there trying to be the first to capture the news. The fire brigade was trying to put out the fire for it had also engulfed the junkyard.

Together, we fought against the rising tide of fire, desperately searching for a way out. Amidst the chaos, tragedy struck. A woman's body, engulfed in flames, was hurled towards the inferno. Her agonized cries seared my soul, forever etching that haunting scene into my memory. It was a sobering reminder of the dark forces that had once sought to extinguish my life.

Spirit Wolf winked, blinked, and I found myself looking out of my eyes at her very surprised face. I laughed and gave her hands a squeeze. "Now, you owe me your story before my friend and I hit the road." "My family was camping when the fire started. My cousin and I were supposed to work our way back ahead of everyone while they packed up. The fire cut us off from each other. I fell and hurt my leg. My cousin tried to carry me, but we weren't getting far. It seemed like the fire and smoke were everywhere." She looked sharply at me suddenly. "You know what happened next, don't you?"

"I lost my unit in the first few days after The Burning, " Ben said, his voice barely above a whisper. I looked up at him, surprised. He never talked about his past. Not ever. "We were stationed near the coast when the first fires hit. Everything went to hell so fast. One minute we were evacuating civilians, the next..."

I didn’t realize it, but I had pressed my nails so hard into my them that I had made little dents. “Then what?” Dante asks when I stay silent. “I remember the news channel was playing in the ward where I was.” Not looking up from my fingers, I continue. “They were reporting on the fire that happened in the woods. The news lady said the police had done their investigation and had ruled the fire as a camping trip gone wrong. They even had a family on the news who claimed to have been the ones camping in the old building that night. They said-.” I pause to hold myself from crying. “They said only the old building and some trees around the building got burned but nobody got injured.”

Felicia, noticing Marie's presence, smiled weakly at Marie. Moments later, the firefighters came over to Marie. “Excuse me for my impudence,” saying the firefighter in a tone full of regret. The firefighter pulled the do-not-cross tape, allowing Marie to approach Felicia. "There were so many people who claimed to be acquaintances of the victims in other fire incidents this week. It turned out they were not the victims' relative, but some undercover journalists who wanted to get information for their newspaper, so we were forced to use preventive measures like this one."

As Cilyna watched, flexing fingers found a torso and the burning flesh of the shoulder knitted together. "What is happening, Jones?" The chief's voice rose in panic. "I'm not sure. It's not suppose to be able to pull it's self together once it's on fire!" More pieces began to grow together. A shriek sounded towards the left. A hand had grabbed the leg of an unexpected reporter. She tried to shake the flaming member off with little success. The hem of her long skirt caught fire and her screams became ones filled more with pain than shock. Cilyna ran to her aid, kicking the arm away from her and helping put out the flames of her skirt. Medics rush to her with a gurny.

Another loud noise was heard and I covered my ears as I felt dizzy and slipped into unconsciousness. Later on l woke up to the smell of smoke. The house was on fire. I screamed for help. I called out to my mom and brother but none of them responded. The fire service later came but no one came out with me it was only me . I was sent to hospital and after my discharge I was told nothing remained in the house after me consistently asking . I was sent to an orphanage .. I lived there for a year before being adopted by my current dad. I was just 8. I wanted to be loved and be cared for but I guess my life was not meant for it. That was when I discovered my hidden talent and started writing. My f

Anna's legs gave in, I supported her better making sure she doesn't fall to the ground. “ What happened?” Inspector Jin mustered the courage to ask. “ I'm sorry but there's no way anyone could have survived if the person is still trapped there. Everywhere inside is covered in flames and fumes , we had to retreat,” the head fire fighter reported and for a moment my heart stopped beating. “ What do you mean by that? Didn't you find anyone? Anybody at all!?” I raised my voice in frustration mixed with fear and disappointment. I was broken, had we really lost Claude and Chloe.

Firefighters are working to extinguish the dangerous blaze before it ignites a larger fire ignited by gasoline. It was obvious the car explosion just now had something to do with the explosion at Pack's house. I rubbed my forehead which felt a little wet with blood. I think the impact just now was really hard on my head, I thought and then my eyes fell on a boy around six years old who fell while running away from the flames from the car. The people around him kept running without looking back or helping the boy who was trying to stand up while crying.
