Murmurs filled the air as the Flamebearer emerged. Arla-Rosa walked between twin pyres, flanked by Amarantha and Cedric, with Cassian and Celeste just behind them. Her ceremonial robe shimmered with embroidered phoenixes, flames dancing across the fabric with every step. A circle of ancestral stones, once desecrated, now glowed anew. The moment she stepped within the circle, silence fell.

He’d let her, opened it up easily and let her take the rose from his now bloody palm, the flower fell to the floor. “Shit!” She exclaimed as pulled up the hem of her oversized t-shirt and proceeded to clean the blood from his palm. “Are you insane?” she whipped her head up to look at him “Why would you hold a rose that way, didn’t you ever learn that you have to avoid the thorns?”

Rose's mouth was ablaze with the smell of fresh blood. Her eyes flushed suddenly, revealing her fangs, and she bared her teeth. Rose shrieked in shock and held her head tightly in her hands as she rolled around on the icy ground like an animal. She took a few steps back and then a few steps forward while growling and glaring at Miren. Rose is unable to progress because Miren's lyrics force her to take a step backward after each and everyone that she takes forward.

She didn’t even seem to be taking a breath. He caught that finger in his hand before it went flying up his nose. Sweet tingles and flames ran up both their arms at the touch. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. Her hairs started flowing in the air and a shiver ran down her body which was covered with only a thin cotton shirt and pair of jeans. Rose didn’t bother to herself. She moved forward and reached near a large garbage drum which was completely empty. She then threw her laptop inside the drum with full energy and “bang,” the laptop shredded into uncountable pieces. From the corner of the terrace, Rose took the can of gasoline, pour it into the drum, and light the fire inside. Smoke started coming out of the big drum. She stares at it for a few minutes, then moved out of the terrace while sniffing.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN – “The Kiss That Burns” The Emberfall garden lay hushed in the night, its roses glowing faintly with emberlight. Moonlight spilled in fractured streams across the stone paths, but even the pale glow of the sky seemed dull compared to the restless shimmer of the fire-roses. Their petals pulsed faintly, ember veins flickering as if they, too, were listening for something.

He held the power to bring a smile to my face when I was going through unbearable pain. It glowed lighter. revealing a pair of eyes, it was also a part of a burning fire. My lower lip trembles from all the emotions consuming me, he was here he was holding me. I couldn't speak and just stared at him. ROMAN POV Flames dance before us. Fire crackling the tension between us. Rose's anger still simmering. My frustration matching hers. "You can't keep running like this," I say reasonable calm. Rose scoffs. "You think I have a choice?. I don't want you anywhere near me. I don't want your kindness but you insisting" Her voice laced with venom I take a step closer. Eyes locked on hers. " Why do you keep tormenting me by sticking around?" She ask in a rather broken voice
