“What did you do to me?!” Galit na galit ang boses ng lalake, mababa at matalim. Nag-panic si Katrice. Hindi niya alam ang nangyayari. Hawak pa rin ang kanyang leeg, napailing siya at pilit nagsalita, “A-Ako, wa-wala po akong ginawa... H-hindi ko alam…” Bigla siyang binitiwan. Pero hindi pa siya nakakahinga nang maayos, naramdaman na lang niyang hinawakan siya sa bewang at idinikit sa katawan ng lalake. Mainit ang balat nito, parang may lagnat, at sobrang lapit nila sa isa’t isa. Nang magsalita ang lalake, halos dumikit sa balat niya ang mainit na hininga, “Binibigyan kita ng pagkakataon. Itulak mo ako. Lumabas ka dito.” Napamulagat si Katrice. Pinalalabas niya ako? Hindi ba siya kuntento? Iniisip ba niyang hindi ako interesado? Pero hindi siya puwedeng umalis. Hindi para sa sarili niya—kundi para sa kapatid niya. Wala na siyang karapatang mag-inarte pa. Nandito na siya. Wala nang atrasan. “Hindi ako lalabas. Tonight… I’m yours,” mahinang bulong niya.
