“Fast healer. Are you packing up for the day?”
“Storm coming,” Lauren looked at the sky. “A week of it, according to the forecast. The wind destroyed the display yesterday, so I think it’s better if I take it in. Not much business on rainy days, anyway. Everyone stays at home if they can, and no one’s looking for flowers.”
“We’ll take a bunch,” Heath said. “Red roses, perhaps.”
“Here, I can make you up a lovely bunch,” Lauren told him. “Give me a moment.” She began plucking flowers from the display and arranging them in her hand, setting purple blooms amongst the red and green.
