I needed to think of something that would make Tessa return to New York. When I got to my room, I dialed her number a few times, and it went straight to voicemail. I was so exhausted. As I sat down on the bed, I decided to stalk her social media. Tessa didn’t have a social media presence a few months ago, but after her cover was blown, she started posting online. I found myself looking at it from time to time, wanting to see what she was doing. I clicked on her story and saw that she posted something about five minutes ago.

In the video, a model was strutting the runway. “She’ll be coming to Elitis High soon,” she said, but I didn't seem to be interested. It definitely was one of Liana’s random gossip sessions about other people’s affairs. “Ava, don’t you know Tessa?,” she asked when I didn't say a thing. “Tessa Walker, daughter of Helen Walker,” she said, staring in my eyes waiting for me to confirm what she was saying but I stayed calm. “Her father’s late, but she’s a famous figure in the modeling industry and she’ll be coming to Elitis High soon.”

“What about Faes? Are there any Faes in this area? I know they have magic that could even make us bigger or smaller.” He took his time to answer, “well, yes…there’s one. But I don’t know if he will be willing to-“ “Perfect! Your mission is to bring him to me asap. I need that girl to get better. Kaya will lose his mind if she doesn’t.” Just as Gabriel left to find the Fae, the sound of soft footsteps made me turn. I sighed when I saw her—Tessa. Tessa was beautiful, with her flowing dark hair and sharp green eyes that always seemed to keep secrets in them. She had a way of walking as if the whole world revolved around her. She smiled sweetly, but I knew better.

A guy in his teens was swimming in the pool while two girls in their late teens and one girl in her early twenties were lounging around the pool on lounge chairs. The older girl with brown hair was sitting farther away from the rest and she stood up when she saw Rachel and Fay. She walked up to them with a smile as the other two girls giggled together while stealing glimpses at the guy swimming. "Hey, Luna! I'm so glad to meet you personally." "Hi, I'm glad to meet you too. How are you?" Fay replied, smiling too. "I'm fine, I'm Bailey. I work in town at Tanner store, and I think I've seen you there a couple of times while I'm arranging the goods."

’ She thought in her mind, but still, Tessa couldn't shake the feeling of unease settling in her chest. Unknown to her, one person had heard everything. Her moans. Her whimpers. Even the faint sounds that carried through a phone that had been secretly spied on. And that person was none other than Tyler…… ************** Tessa left the office as soon as she was done with her work. She heard over to the hospital for her appointment with the doctor. She met with the doctor and informed him about her new determination. “ I want to recollect my memories doctor.” She said.

They pranked me during practice, sabotaged the steps to the extent that I made a fool of myself during my first Tule performance. I didn’t let that stop me, either. Now I like to think the girls have warmed up to me — despite themselves. ***** I find Bailey leaning against the edge of her beverage stall, adjusting a stack of glasses and wiping condensation from a pitcher of her signature sparkling elderflower drink. “How’s sales going?” I ask, nodding at her neat setup. Bailey grins. “Great. There are so many people here today, and the fact that the festival is only a day away has a lot of people famished from all the work.”

I also saw that Rachel Bloom, a well-known literary agent commented on one of her posts after being tagged by a fan. When Tessa saw it, I watched as she jumped for joy. She danced around the living room, twirling with a large smile on her face. It made my heart swell with joy watching her. Nothing that I couldn't handle, I needed Aldrich back at the den to keep an eye on everything. "I'm ready," Tessa announced as she gets out of the bathroom looking delicious in her signature all-black attire. This time she was wearing a thick black oversized sweater with black colored jeans. I know for sure that her knives were hidden somewhere under her clothes if I pulled her close and roamed my hands all over her delectable body. "We should go now, before I decided to strip you off," I did pull her close and let my hands feel her up while she melted easily to my kiss. "You look beautiful, little killer."

Tessa Leah's voice rang out on the other end of the line, carrying that familiar edge of excitement she always had when she got her hands on a juicy piece of gossip. But today, her words were enough to make my stomach churn. "Tessa, don't you think it's weird?" she asked, her voice dropping as if someone else might be listening in. "I mean, people are saying that one of us...one of the students on this trip...was seen sneaking into Carter's room."

Leah comes out of the kitchen holding a jar of water and an empty glass. “What are you two still discussing?” she asks as she lowers herself into one of the seats at the dining table. Mira beats me to a reply. She starts with a sneer. “Well, Tessa here is waiting to hear from Benny boy before she decides what’s good for her future.” There is obvious disdain and emphasis on the word: Benny boy and it irks me. “Babe, her own future.” I kick her foot under the table, she repays the favour and we kick each other for a while till Leah slams her cup on the table. “Enough.”
