Fourth Wing Jack Barlowe Novels & Stories

Jack asked again without giving much clarification. “Geez, could you be any more vague?” Aiden grumbled in annoyance. However, once those words left his mouth a powerful aura filled the car and caused his arms to tremble. He momentarily lost control of the vehicle as sweat streamed down his face. Aiden was a 4 Star Warrior. Granted, he wasn’t in the best of conditions, but he wasn’t weak. Jack’s aura was able to make someone like Aiden sweat profusely! That could only mean that Jack was stronger than he looked!

Emily was startled upon looking in Drake’s direction. “You can’t fly without wings,” he said sarcastically. “You can’t have your freedom unless I had you suffer for my satisfaction,” he added. Emily rolled her eyes. “I didn’t tell you I would fly without wings, stupid.” she scoffed. “Can’t you just go upstairs in your room and don’t fucking mind my business here? You were gone. You shouldn’t come back at all.”

Ravi slammed the door behind him and was startled to find Adrian floating by the window, his wings flapping, hands folded across his chest, wearing a smug expression. He knew all too well that this creature was the one responsible for the chaos Ravi had just experienced. Ravi quickly moved to the window, fists clenched in anger, a sharp gaze directed at him with disapproval. He opened the window with a loud creak. "You're the problem here."

Frankler, holding her in place. Up the street, Thaddeus was fighting his way toward Ruthie's body, using an injured soldier as a shield. He had managed to remove the collar from his throat, and his wings were spread out as if he wanted to take off into the air. I saw that one of his wings was bent at an unnatural angle, indicating he was too wounded to fly. Ruthie and Wynona lay unmoving in the dirt. So did Maverick. And Luke still hadn't returned from chasing Peter's telekinetic friend.

The sky was a flat, dull grey, like a screen that had been turned off but was still glowing with static. "Kaima?" I spun around. Standing in the middle of a street made of torn-up book pages was a man. He looked like Rowan, but his face was half-finished. One of his eyes was a beautiful, hazel spark of life. The other was just a rough pencil sketch—an empty circle with a dot in the middle. "Rowan?" I whispered, my heart breaking at the sight of him. "I'm not your Rowan," the man said. His voice sounded like it was being played on a broken record player. "I’m **Draft Four**. I was the version of him that was 'Too Angry.' They deleted me in the first week of production."

Kali screeched as she ascended. I turned to face her, and she fanned out her huge jet-black wings. She then jumped up onto the railing, so that she was squatting on it like a damn gargoyle, she then held onto it with one hand and leapt off of it. Her wings fanned out further, as they guided her gracefully to the floor. I could hear her heels tap angrily against the tiled floor as she stomped towards me. “I may not be a Phoenix like you, but I have been a hunter and a hybrid since before you could talk, you are no match for me Freya!” She said in a rough tone as she approached me.

He felt weakened and couldn't reach out to his dark energy. "I just hope you ain't trying to fart." Elsa jested with a straight face. "What's it, Jake?" Michael asked, trying to sound normal, but they could still hear the fury in his voice. "I can't pop my wings out. I think it's the iron shackles." Jacob said, his eyes were darting the wall in front of him. "Of course you can. You're not a wolf, neither are you a raven. You're a pterolycus, so these things shouldn't have any effect on you. You can do it." Michael assured.

“Because from this day forward, they’ll see you as what you are.” “What’s that?” “My Luna. Their Luna.” I hesitated, then smiled against his shirt. “Then you better start preparing them. Because I’m not exactly the soft, smiling kind of leader.” He pulled back just enough to tilt my chin up. “Good. Because I didn’t fall in love with soft and smiling. I fell in love with a warrior.” “A blind warrior.” “A warrior who sees more than anyone else.” I bit my lip. “You’re going to make me cry.”
