Daniela's POV A black card with my name on it. That was what I had been playing with for the past five minutes, with a huge smile on my face. Funny, because no one should be happy their worst enemy had done something nice. A gift alone should be an alert to tread carefully. And yeah, I should also be worried about other things; like how this man always had access to my room and was clearly in here when I was asleep, or probably even lamenting over the very graphic and gory nightmare I had just a few hours ago about Alexander drowning me in his pool.

Yawning, I take a drink of water from the night stand, before getting in bed and pulling up the covers. Just as I close my eyes, I hear a familiar scratching noise from the closet. Opening them, I bolt up in bed. Bubba, my fearless monster slayer is laying on the floor comatose, but he hears it too and jumps up. I notice that his ears are perked up and he cocks his head as he tries to hear something over by the closet.

I continue, pointing a finger at the now unmoving lycan. For a moment, Barren doesn't speak as his eyes take me in, making sure that I'm not lying about not being hurt. "Barren," I snap, my frustration spiking. "Explain! Now!" "Right," he sighs, taking a quick look at the lycan as if he expects it to move. "It's called a somnium beast. They only exist in the dream realm, and they're what my father forced me to create to help him take out those who opposed him."

She took a deep breath and began to recount the details to Scott. "In my nightmare, I see a wolf, a majestic creature with eyes filled with sorrow and darkness. It feels like the wolf is calling out to me, pleading for help, and I can't help but feel that it's connected to Alpha Hercules!" Scott's expression grew serious as he listened to Fiona's description of her nightmare. It sent shivers down his spine, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that there was a deeper meaning behind the message. This monster wouldn’t pass for anything but a nightmare. Yolanda struggled not to let her heart to beat out of her chest. What summoned the creature? Where was the creature’s master?

Everything’s fine now. Right. Everything was fine, but that didn’t stop the nightmares that came over the next few days. Each one is the same. A terrifying beast with glowing red eyes beckoned me and begged me to come to it. Each time it would happen, I would wake up in a cold sweat with my heart racing until I realized I was safe in my bed. Because they were so unnerving, I couldn’t bring myself to go back to sleep, and by the time the day of Bernard’s Midnight Ball came, I felt like death.

" Grandmother cried sadly. “Mom… Grandfather... Grandmother won't abandon me, I was wrong, I know I was wrong”.." "Get out of here!" Three twisted faces, like vengeful spirits, attacked Fiona. “No!” Fiona woke up from the nightmare. "What's wrong?" Darwin's voice brought Fiona back to reality.
