We had been working together for weeks now, and I had grown to trust him implicitly. Speaking of which, I suddenly remembered a silly joke my brother used to tell me when we were kids. "Hey, Claus, why did the chicken go to the doctor?" I asked, trying to stifle a grin. Claus raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "I don't know, why?" he asked. I giggled. "Because it had fowl breath!" I exclaimed, bursting out laughing. Claus chuckled, shaking his head. "You're such a goofball," he said, smiling.

" Ian frowned at the question. Ian (8:15 pm) : What kind stupid question are you asking? Irritating Twat (8:16 pm) : Don't know the answer? Ian (8:16 pm): No. Irritating Twat (8:17 pm) : Because it is made out of cells! Haha! Ian gaped at the message for a long time before a small laugh escaped his mouth. The joke was really lame but it was funny.

Bright and early the next day, I showed up at the office as usual. I ignored the whispers and stares, and made a beeline for my desk to start clearing it out. That was when Lily waltzed over, oozing fake sympathy. "Janice, can't you take a joke? "Come on, it was just a little toilet cleaning. Why'd you have to go and tell Mr. Hoffman you're quitting? No need to blow things out of proportion. "Look, I'll even dip into my own wallet and toss you a little extra cash to make up for it.

"You have no idea–I was just joking around, but those disgusting guys went crazy asking me for your contact." The old me would have already been crying, asking her how she could do this to me, voice breaking. Not this me. My teeth clenched so hard they hurt. My whole body trembled with anger. I snatched the flyer out of her hand and slapped her across the face. Tara screamed, clutching her cheek in disbelief. "You hit me? I treat you like my best friend, and you can't even take a joke anymore?" Best friend? I let out a cold laugh.

Muttering under his breath, he straightened himself and began doing the most exaggerated frog jumps I had ever seen. I burst out laughing—the hardest I had laughed. During that moment another idea took over my mind. “Oh, and make frog sounds.” Jace groaned but complied, croaking loudly as he jumped across the grass. Tears of laughter filled my eyes as I clutched my stomach, doubling over. When I finally waved a hand, signaling for him to stop, he stood up, catching his breath. “How does it feel, humiliating your king?” I wiped a tear from my eye. “Honestly? Pretty great.”

"We're hoping you'll find it funny and entertaining. Nerius squawked in encouragement, causing me to smile. “Um, what did the Griffon say when he walked into the bar?” I asked. “What?” Szan asked. “Ouch.” Only the Fiery Lynxes found that funny. Yeah this was going to be pretty rough. One after another we went up and told our funniest jokes and yet there was nothing. Not a chitter, a chuckle or even a snort from the Griffons. We were becoming hopeless.

I was giggling like a loon. “A corpse went to a rheumatologist, and said he was feeling rather stiff-” “That's hilarious!” I laughed. “That's not the joke-” “I love this cheese. Mmm. Cheese and crackers,” I sang, munching on the hors d'oeuvres. “Ooo! And there's brie! And crab dip-” “Do you want to hear the joke or not!” he boomed. “Eh, not really. No.”

“Jokes have owners, Grace! Do not try to crack one if you know you will do something contrary to what a joker can, and that is to pull a smile or erupt outbursts of laughter from people. That back there was not a joke at all, Grace!” I say that because if she was joining, that was a terrible one. She should know that she stinks at it.

Lilly asked. “Knock yourself out,” I replied. “So, are we going to bother to address the elephant in the room?” Julie asked, looking over at her sisters. “Don’t you mean the wolf in the room,” I replied, trying to lighten the mood. My comment managed to make Lilly laugh out loud. “Right,” Julie replied, not sounding impressed with my joke, “So, you smell like a rogue,” Julie stated looking at me.

She cried as she kicked and jumped in panic. The frog would not let go. It clung to her hair. Goosebumps spread on her skin. She shrieked. She jumped up and down, flailing her arms in frantic attempts to get the frog off her face while everyone around her laughed their hearts out. She looked like a princess and the frog was her frog prince. Rocky even managed to make the frog look like a prince with a matching crown. Everyone around her was laughing so hard at the joke. Rocky laughed the hardest, tears streamed down his cheeks.
