Through Love and Instinct

Through Love and Instinct

"The cruel King Lycaon of Arcadia tried to tricked the great God Zeus into eating human flesh, wanting to humiliate the God. King Lycaon is always so envious of the immortality of the great Gods. He wants to prove that even the immortal and mightly being like the God itself could be tricked by a mortal like him. But the mighty Zeus cannot be fooled. For wanting the God to commit a cruel act of eating a human, a heavy punishment is waiting for the King" Punishment? Humiliation? I never thought that the origin of these creatures is a punishment bestowed by the Gods. This is the first time that I have read something like this. Usually in the materials that I have, just like any other mythologic

The Alpha's Woman

The Alpha's Woman

"So who can explain more of Myth functions?" "Myth has two main functions, The first is to answer the sort of awkward questions that children ask, such as 'Who made the world? How will it end? Who was the first man? Where souls go after death?'...The second function of Myth is to justify an existing social system and account for traditional rites and customs. In ancient Greece, stories about gods and goddesses and heroes and monsters were an important part of everyday life. They explained everything from religious rituals to the weather, and they gave meaning to the world people saw around them." All students turned their heads to look shockingly at Damien who answered the question.

My Shadow Mate

My Shadow Mate

“He’s the god that was born through an unholy ritual. The son of the moon goddess and the god of death.” At first, when I hear the words out of Ansel’s mouth, static fills my brain, until I really think about it, and then it turns funny, and I start laughing. “What’s funny?” his confused tone makes me laugh harder. “Ansel, you really shouldn’t believe everything the internet tells you. I thought you were the smart one amongst us.” I wipe the stray tears from my eyes and straighten up.

The Guardians

The Guardians

“When one has determination to do something, the odds always end up in their favour.” The older looked at the other before him before letting out a bitter and guttural laugh at what he thought is a joke coming from the latter. Perhaps the person in front of him does not know what kind of person he is intending to find. People speak of legends and myths like they were just stories worthy to pass off to others that some ended up looking for proof on the make-believe the world had conjured up to invoke the right of humanity to carve the very first story and not some god or goddess of far away imagination.

The Alpha King Stubborn Mate

The Alpha King Stubborn Mate

'Myths are different than fairy tales or legends. Legends are stories based in history and are more or less true. Myths, on the other hand, are stories containing a deeper truth—stories that transcend time. If you were to travel the world, you would find myths that are remarkably similar to one another—stories of heroes fighting the darkness with the light.' ❤❤❤❤ ☀️MY RAE OF LIGHT (Part Two) ☀️ ❤❤❤❤

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

Christopher John asked sarcastically, his tone dripping with cynicism. “As much as we can give, but he can't be satisfied by animal blood. Legend has it that there was a time when a great drought befell the land, to the point of nearly extinction. The elders then had to make human sacrifices to appease the gods, the Great Sacrifice. They said the moon turned red that day because the gods were overfed, and he granted everyone present their heart's desires,” the girl narrated, but her story only elicited amusement from Damian and his friends. “Yeah, right. What a shitty legend,” Briana muttered, his tone laced with sarcasm, and his friends chuckled softly.

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

After a moment, she turns the screen toward me, “The word itself means wild or savage, but in Greek mythology, there was a Gigantes created to fight the Olympian gods during the Giant War, named Agrios. He was supposed to replace the Moirai, who are more commonly known as The Fates. It never came to be because someone killed Agrios during the war. “Okay. I will look into the definition side, you look further into the mythology side. Look for any covens or witch subcultures that somehow identify with the Gigante or maybe even the Fates.,” I write some notes on my notepad, “Bronx has restricted the fifth floor today, so no getting into his library.” “I can make do, Beta. Mind if I sit at the c

I am SO glad that I read this story/book!!! It was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish!! Such a great storyline & plot, and especially characters!! SO sad that some important characters died at the end, but I know it wasn’t Kas’s fault!! I felt “every” emotion known to man while reading it!!!

Just finished “Forever in the past and forever in the future” for the second time. Loved it as much as the first time! Kas/Lex & Bronx/Saint are great, their dynamics are wonderful. The supporting characters are amazing and a great compliment to the mains. So excited to continue on with the sequel.

THE SIXTH SCHOOL

THE SIXTH SCHOOL

ALL! " Layla took a few steps back and in the distance she said, "Take care, I promise I'll get there with help," luck said in a funny tone to Leo, "where is the one that didn't want to leave us," "I know, good luck you have to start kicking some butts, ”“ yes, ”leo and luck came into view of all the creatures, in that, the same terrifying voice says“ LIGHTS, ”the harpies immediately lit the torches and chanted you with oil, and the light was made in that Instead, they were surrounded by all kinds of monsters and I read when I recognized that they were not from Roman mythology, but from Greek; a couple of the harpies fly high overhead and you can see a silhouette, "WHO THE HELL SUMMONED US,"

They thought I would match the goddess of wisdom, Athena. Unfortunately, from all those meaningful meanings, I only got stuck with one—courage. My mom's Greek so she used to tell me stories about mythology when I was little but I myself, don't really give a damn about Greek mythology. I only know one though, Cupid which is Eros and Eros which is Cupid. Make sense.

The Final Cut

The Final Cut

Talk of ‘spirits separated from their bodies’ reminded him of Ashkan and the ruined remains of the other men. “All myth starts as story,” said the driver. “Sometimes we call the story history, sometimes religion, eventually it all becomes myth. Beneath every myth is an ancient tale, a hidden belief that gives shape and form to every god that’s ever received a prayer on a dark and lonely night.” “Okay, now you’re getting wa-ay deep. Does this ‘ancient belief’ have a name then?” “It’s had many names, in every language ever spoken. Some call it ‘the Oldest Truth,’ others—the ‘Faith that Came before Man.’”
