Simon just chuckled at the irritated Mark. They were driving towards the airport when Amanda’s phone rang. “Hello?” Amanda could not hear the other line clearly. She was hearing static sounds followed by a voice machine. “Hello?” she greeted again waiting for someone to speak. “Hello! Welcome to ‘how to make babies dot com’” the voicemail said. She quickly ended the call knowing that it was a prank call. She’s receiving such calls recently. She would just block the number.

"Sadly. that place you mentioned, Middletown, is it? That place does not exist." "What! Please, that's impossible. I was kidnapped!!" "I understand it's April fool's day." "I'm serious here!!" "I'm calling this off as a prank call, please don't waste my time." "Wh.... what. No, please, you have to beli-" She ended the call. Oh crap, I'm just done for. Why does today have to be April fool's day of all days?? I called the number again. "Ma'am, if you keep calling, I'll have no choice than to write you for a misdemeanor."

My mom frowned when she saw me. “Why are you back early?” she queried. I shrugged, “Where are the kids?” “Asleep.” I nodded and my mother frowned when she stared at me again. “What’s wrong?” my mom asked. I sighed and sat down on the couch, “I received a prank call today.” “Prank call? What was it about?” “Someone claimed to be my grandfather and asked me to ask you about it.” My mom was quiet but I saw the unmistakable look of shock that crossed her face when she stared at me. It disappeared immediately but I knew what I had seen.

I was never a victim and never plan on being one. “It has been fun chatting with you. I’ll call again real soon. Have fun at Johnny’s” The caller disconnected, and I was left standing there in front of Johnny’s with a fear deep in my soul. This person was not your average prank caller. This was serious. I decided to call the number back and try to get some of my power back.

I said to the person who was calling. “You have a nerve to suspend me!” He angrily said, which made me frown. “Who’s this?” I asked. So, he sarcastically laughed. I don’t know him because he is camouflaging his identity using a device to change his voice. “Secret!” He sarcastically said to me. “Look, whoever you are, can you please stop!” I angrily said to him, “Because if you won’t, I will sue you!” I warned, so he laughed loudly. Is this a prank?

He let out, cracking up. Lying comfortably on the couch, he searched quickly for her number to call her even when she mentioned to him jokingly in her message not to call her. Like a good gamer, Joana’s phone rang three consecutive times but she kept pranking Shawn. She would take the calls and immediately switch off her phone the moment Shawn’s voice thrilled, trying to frustrate and starve him of her sweet voice. Once she was ready to set Shawn free, She switched on her phone to call him instead.

On its own accord my fingers swiped the call and put it in my ears. “Hello” There was a long prolonged silence on the other line, for a while so I repeated the “hello.” At this point I was beginning to get irritated and I could clearly see why Nik labeled it, it must be a prank call. I hissed loudly and was about to end the call when I heard the voice, “hello, please where is Nik,”
