Scott answered as he clasped his hand on the table. “Any other questions?” Scott asked, staring at Matthew. “Sir, what if any of the workers don’t want to come to the party? Because some people may have dinner plans with their families,” “That’s a good question. If anyone doesn’t want to come, then it is their decision,” Scott responded. “OK sir,” Matthew muttered. “Any other questions?” Scott asked, raising an eyebrow. Jennifer and Matthew both went quiet. They could sense that Scott has prepared answers for any possible questions and excuses they could have on their minds.

Moments where the sound of his laughter made the world feel lighter. After the last bite and the last sip of wine, Rico leaned back in his chair and tilted his head. “Alright,” he said, a spark in his eyes. “Let’s make this interesting.” “Oh no,” I said, chuckling. “That tone never ends well.” He grinned. “Question and answer game. I ask one, you ask one. No dodging.” “Deal,” I said, leaning in. He took the first turn, and his smile faded slightly, replaced by something unreadable. “What happens if Valerio comes back?”

“Doesn’t matter. They don’t fight. Different continents.” “But if they did?” I pressed. “Inane,” he said. “That’s what you people do though, right? Ask pointless questions?” Suddenly I was different. Confident. Cocky, even. I jabbed a finger toward him. “Like, ‘What would I do if I saw a fire in a movie theatre?’ Put it out? Alert the manager? Run? You take these innocent answers and twist them to make sane people sound unhinged.” “Is that what you think?”

“Of course, you have to answer my question to you. So, what's your answer? The light is on or off?” “All right, on?” then suddenly they shouted. “Ssh, be quiet. Next question ma'am, chocolate or sex? ” “Huh? Wait, choco-” he didn't let me finish speaking, and he immediately changed the question. “Next question, Hotel or motel?” Whatever he asks me, i always feel like i'm on a hot seat. “Hotel?” then they shouted again. “Is it exciting, ma’am? This is the next question. Is he muscular or handsome?”

I sat on my bed, phone in hand, waiting for Kyle's response. The minutes ticked by, and I found myself checking my phone every few seconds. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, my phone buzzed with an unknown ID which I know it was Kyle . I quickly opened the message, and my eyes scanned the screen. He had sent me a list of questions he had sent to the show, along with the answers he expected me to give. I scrolled through the list, my mind racing with thoughts. Some of the questions and answers were ridiculous , but others were more probing.

I had so many questions, a million scenarios ran through my mind but the only thing I could muster was one question: "How?"

Jane- Screw you. Hunter- Lol… let’s play a game. Hunter- Twenty questions. You in? Jane-Why do I hate this game already? Hunter- You’re hilarious. Hunter- I’ll start… Where’s the craziest place a guy has ever kissed you? Jane- Wow. It’s that kind of game we’re playing? Hunter- What kind of questions did you think I was going to ask you? Your favourite food? Or perhaps your favourite colour? Jane- I do not appreciate your sarcasm.
