"It could happen," I said. "Yup, you're right," he said. "It could." Uncle Frank started to snicker. His merriment grew, laughter getting louder and harder until we had to stop because he was clutching his sides and wiping tears from his face, barely able to breathe. I smiled a little at first, tentative. I started to laugh too as the tension of what I did ran out of me, leaving behind the absurd mental image of all those kids puking their guts out all over Suzanne's beautiful house.

“You are funny.” I narrowed my eyes at her. “I am also traumatized. I almost got eaten by wolves. I fell off a cliff. I ran through ghost trees. I saw dead people walking like they were on a normal stroll. And now I am talking to a naked stranger. So yes. I am funny. It is a coping mechanism.” She laughed. Actually laughed. Which annoyed me. “You think this is funny?” I demanded. “Yes.” “This is not funny. This is the worst day of my life.”

The two men stared at me and I stared right back at them with a blank expression. How were they expecting me to react after all the bullshit they just spurted out of their mouths? Vampire Kingdom?! Supernatural world?! Human slave?! Ha! Is this a fucking prank or what? I forced out a laugh trying to make them think that what they said was funny. At this point I would do anything to get away from these lunatic creeps. "That was very funny guys. Thanks again for saving my life. I really need to go home, bye!"

"Sorry, Maddy. I'm not trying to embarrass you or anything." "This is so dysfunctional," Maddy said a moment later, causing Mark to start laughing. Myra couldn't stop herself and Maddy was grinning, despite her efforts to stop. "Stop it," She said for the third time before Mark and Myra got a grip of themselves. "This isn't funny, guys." "No, it really isn't," Mark agreed. "But it is kinda ridiculous." "Yeah, the odds are kind of... miraculous, but that's not the right word either," Myra added.

Emily scratched her neck trying to look for a suitable lie " Tell me. It sounds kinda fun ." " So the thing is that, on this faithful day , we'll put soy sauce inside everything thing. Like every food and drink ." Hana finished explaining with a nervous smile " Oh , no wonder the food tasted somehow in the morning. " She turned to face Emily who looked away not wanting their eyes to meet " I could imagine the hilarious reaction of Gabriel. " Alicia said smiling " You should have seen it. It was pricelessly funny . "Emily added remembering the look on his face . She burst out laughing again

Life’s so unfair, man. “What does a spoon matter when we’re literally stuck in the middle of the woods with invisible monsters, shady, bad men and whatever else creeps around here? Can you please, for once, use your brain and kick some sense in the gear?” He whisper-hisses, so red in the face, he reminds me of a tomato. “You could join a casting for vegetable commercials looking like this,” I remark and laugh at the brilliant joke my brain just reacted. Shit, am I not the funniest guy out there? Look at me - sense of humor, looks, body and an impressive spoon collection, I have it all, damn it. No wonder my little vixen couldn’t deny me.

she giggled at her own joke. Guila’s giggle rippled through the air, a moment of levity amidst the heavy atmosphere. Her joke, bizarre and unexpected, painted a vivid picture in my mind. I couldn’t help but smile at her words, the image she conjured absurdly amusing. It was as if, even in the darkest moments, she managed to find a glimmer of humor, a ray of light that pierced through the shadows.

And so, on and on ,like the osscilation of a pendulum, the disheartening piece of my bio churned while the sands of time dripped slowly and slowly as it watched my narration irks the soul of the spectators. That I thought, but it appeared to be nothing but a blunt lie. It was a revolving piece of gags and laughs. A piece of funny cake, a chunk of interesting cheese, a loaf of an adventurous bread and a real ginger to the spirits of the audience. They applauded.

Succumbing to the humor of the situation, they both laughed. As the laughter settled, Ryu and Yuka found themselves diving into a delightful exchange of amusing and embarrassing stories. The conversation flowed endlessly. With each story shared, their initial awkwardness melted away, replaced by a warm and genuine connection. It was like they stumbled upon a hidden treasure chest filled with laughter and understanding, forming a bond that was equal parts comforting and thrilling.

She deadass did save my life but something in the back of my mind kept telling me that was not the reason I was agitated to meet her. "Then tell me what the fuck the reason is, you stupid brain." I yelled into my pillow, muffling the sound to the point where it almost sounded non-existent. I'm not one to play mind games, I just wanted to know the reason. Did you get the pun there? I'm so fucking funny. I know you're shaking your head thinking of what a stupid pun that was. But you know it was fucking lit. Maybe I should go into Comedy instead, I'm too funny for Urban/Realistic/Drama. Imagine my next stop being called Life of Eve: Comedy and Puns. What do you think?
