HEATED OFFSIDES

HEATED OFFSIDES

After all, I spent all evening with Danielle and Liam. And when we all woke up this morning, Nate was gone. I didn't ask where to. I just picked my bag as well and took an Uber home. After all, the real Thanksgiving is today, and I can't miss my mom's turkey for the world and her special jalapeño sauce for the freaking world. ********* Dad's smoke the grill on their lawns, and kids run around the flower hedges, playing and hopping around. Moms are yelling after some kids. Some dads are playing with the kids.

Across The Ice: Falling for my ex’s biggest rival

Across The Ice: Falling for my ex’s biggest rival

“Makes Christmas sound a lot more interesting.” I leaned back in my chair, coffee in hand. “You’re assuming your family celebrates Christmas instead of holding an annual shareholders’ meeting.” “We do both.” “I don’t believe you.” “My grandmother once gave my uncle a quarterly financial report in his stocking.” I stared at him, trying to decide if he was serious. “You’re lying.” “I wish.” I nearly choked on my hot chocolate, and Dean looked far too pleased with himself as he reached for the jam like he hadn’t just casually redefined holiday traditions.

Second Chances Under the Tree

Second Chances Under the Tree

“Let’s see how long your jokes last.” The short guy opened the container, revealing an assortment of horrifying tools… pliers, knives, and even a tiny saw. He picked up a scalpel and held it up to the dim light. “Sharp enough to carve turkey,” he said with a grin. “Great,” Nora said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Thanksgiving’s come early.” Even I couldn’t help but let out a shaky laugh. The boss, however, wasn’t amused. “Enough games,” he growled. “You have five seconds to start talking.”

In The Arms of Morpheus

In The Arms of Morpheus

“She forgot to mention that she’s seeing a guy over here. One who may just be on steroids judging by the size of his muscles.” A dodgy joke about steroids and packages went through my mind and I couldn’t resist passing on my lewd comic relief on to him. From there the conversation took a turn to Thanksgiving, one of my favourite holidays purely because it involved turkey. I hated the fact that he wouldn’t be here to celebrate with us again this year, but at least he would be coming home for Christmas and New Year. At least that was something to look forward to. Someone knocked on his dorm room door so he quickly said goodbye to me and shut off his skype.

Road to Desire

Road to Desire

my mom said. “Probably in a couple of hours. Everything okay?” “Of course. Just like to know when my chickens are back in the coop.” I giggled. “I’m the only chicken, Mom. Everyone else was smart enough to fly away.” “I’m waiting for everyone to come back.” “Good luck with that.” “Dad and I are going to watch a movie, so just text me when you’re inside and have locked up.” “Will do. Hey, I’ve invited a couple of friends for Thanksgiving, is that a problem?”

Over the edge

Over the edge

The town was abuzz, with thanksgiving just some days away. Clarissa had decided to spend thanksgiving with Marley, so she spent sometime packing some things she would be needing for the weekend. They had formed the habit of spending every holiday together, just stuffing themselves with food and sharing stories on how their life had been all year round, they’d even visit Chance together. But this year, it felt like she was doing it to help her feel a bit of normalcy.

The comeback of the wolf

The comeback of the wolf

We cheered along with the crowd as giant balloons floated by and marveled in the intricate floats passing through the streets of the city. “Thank you, for making this Thanksgiving one I will never forget,” Caleb whispered into my ear, making me turn my head in order to look at him. I knew that this man had lost both his parents when he was young, and I wondered how he had lived through the holidays ever since. Not that I was about to ask, I wouldn’t want to ruin this magical moment right now. “I am grateful for you,” I answered him, probably looking at him like a love-sick puppy.

The Mafia King's Priceless Possession

The Mafia King's Priceless Possession

No Christmas tree, lights, presents, Christmas dinner, stockings, gingerbread houses, or even a sweets stick. We have both lived with a horrendous past yet special times of year were just plain terrible. We never celebrated on the grounds that I didn't maintain that she should recall the horrendous occasions which occurred when that should be the greatest days of all time. I explained to Daisy about special times of year after we got comfortable in the living room. Since we were away from him, I believed she should experience what these occasions ought to be like. Hours pass and it's five pm now. Daisy and I wrapped up preparing our thanksgiving dinner and are at present watching Charlie Bro

TAKEN BY THE MAFIA

TAKEN BY THE MAFIA

I asked, already anticipating the infectious laughter that was sure to follow. She took a deep breath, mustering all the confidence a five-year-old could have. "Why did the scarecrow win an award?" We all leaned in, intrigued by Heaven's humor. "I don't know, Heaven. Why did the scarecrow win an award?" I replied, playing along. "Because he was outstanding in his field!" Heaven burst into giggles, her laughter echoing through the room. The table erupted with laughter, including my father, Angel, Misha, and myself. It was a moment of pure joy and release of tension, a reminder that even in challenging times, laughter can bring people closer together.

She giggled at her own bad joke, poking my cheek with her index finger. "So what? You want me to go after her?" I asked incredulously. "You won't need to do that son. I've invited the Harts over for Thanksgiving dinner tonight which your dad will be making. let's hope he doesn't burn the turkey." "Since when do we celebrate Thanksgiving?" I quizzed with a cocked brow.

I normally read werewolf stories, which is how I found this author as I've been reading the Kylie's other books. This is the first story I've read with Demons and Angels, and I have really enjoyed it. A massive congratulations to Kylie for another great story. Looking forward to more stories :)

I was enthralled by this story of good and and evil. I believe you are a little closer to the mark than most which makes this story very interesting to read. I was very impressed. I definitely think you should do a follow up. Your writing is very talented. Thank you for an amazing tale. Please more.
