Not understanding their conversation but sensing that Heath was a good person and considering that he is the girl's brother, Gale decided to act. With all his strength, he sprinted toward the lookouts whose guns were still pointed at the two captives. With a swift but powerful pair of punches, he knocked them out cold to the ground. After that, he then faced the tattooed man ready to pounch at him. "What the-?! Who are you?" the tattooed man exclaimed, unable to believe what was going on in front of him. His men were taken out in the blink of an eye. "The knight in shining armor of the girl you kidnapped," Gale replied, throwing a sharp gaze at the man.

Dark brown hair styled in a drop fade, strong jaw, brown eyes that flicked over me curiously. "Well, my name is Mason." He said with a soft chuckle, clearly not offended. Mason. The same one Chase and Tyson mentioned? I tilted my head slightly. "Ashley. I’m guessing you’re one of Tyson’s pals?" He nodded once. "And you’re the new girl who told him off?" He asked, his eyes narrowing with interest. I smirked proudly and nodded again. He burst out laughing. "That was so fucking hilarious." I blinked, surprised.

The caretaker shouted out, "The gamble will start! Both parties are to activate their attributes and put their attributes into the Projne Stone!" Gale snorted and said, "Brat! You're the most blindly confident piece of trash I've seen!" Fane raised an eyebrow and replied calmly, "You're also the most annoying idiot I've seen!" The two of them stared at each other, not giving way. Gale had already been infuriated by Fane enough and was impatiently summoning up all the elements that he could control in his body. Gale was a wood attribute warrior. He summoned up a green light from his body, and even his eyes started to glow green.

“Pleased to make your fine acquaintance Miss Katniss.” Ludale said with his hand still extended for a handshake. Katniss stared him down from head to toe with disgust vividly expressed on her face. She fixed her gaze firmly on that extended hand of his for a few seconds before looking up at his face again.

Vanilla was one of my favourite scents and I could not help but interrupt her turning to try and find the owner of that scent. My mystery guy had moved from the stairs so I could not see him anymore. Without putting too much more attention on him I really wanted to find the owner of the pine vanilla scent. The more I smelled it, the more I knew it had to be my mate. “I’m guessing Caleb hasn’t told you about me then?” the woman asked, Cassandra’s puzzled expression gave her the answer she needed, she laughed, but it lacked any mirth to it, “I’m Gayle, the real Alpha bitch of this pack, the one who has been keeping Caleb’s bed warm before your wretched self came into this compound and the one who is going to drag you out of here by your hair once I cure Caleb of whatever spell you’ve cast on him.”

I begin, only to stop as Ramone jumps up and grabs Gale's waist. "Will do!" He chirps, giving a salute with his free Hans. "E joy yourselves." Before Gale can protest, he pulls her out of the room and out of sight. 'Thank me later.' He calls through mindlink. "I just saved Gale dear from my sister since you can't control yourself.' 'I won't say thank you.' I snap back. 'Don't you dare try anything.' Cutting off our connection, I turn my attention to Talia, who is watching me expectantly.

She shouldn’t have brought Gale out. It was her fault. Just then, a small hand gently patted the back of her hand—like he was the one comforting her. Gale’s dark eyes shimmered as he looked at her, silently offering his support. Raina was stunned. Then she smiled at him and took out a pair of headphones from the console, carefully placing them over Gale’s ears. “Be good, Gale. Close your eyes.” With the headphones on, Gale wouldn’t hear anything. But what was about to unfold could be bloody and violent—it was better he didn’t see it either.

Gale nodded, "Yes, you're probably right." First swallowed hard and quickly said, "Once again, I'm really sorry." Gale widened his eyes, "Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault.
