“Chapter One,” he said. “The First Shift.”
I tightened my fingers around the cover.
“Chapter Two. The Beast Within.”
My stomach twisted.
“And Chapter Three,” he continued, his expression becoming even colder, “The Alpha Bloodline.”
He released the book into my hands and stepped away.
“Good luck, Princess.”
He walked past us, deliberately brushing against Rigina’s shoulder this time before disappearing between the shelves.
Rigina turned and watched him leave, then looked back at me. “I officially hate him.”
