Guard bowed in respect to Reader as the last of Records left Security to return to the privacy of their berth where he would learn all there was to be learned from a screen regarding these 'humans'. If he had any luck at all, Reader would have already found a way to make knowledge simple enough for Guard to understand in one discussion. Zen had met many species throughout their many sun-circles voyaging into the reaches of the universe. Biology tended to be simpler than many would presume when it was transferred through their natural talent. Guard could not think of any species they had been unable to replicate. Humanity would be no different.

Liam growled. “Your guess is as good as mine,” he called back, his gun rattling off shots like a firecracker. “It was us against the usual suspects until the humans appeared out of nowhere and opened the prison gates.” Fed up with the constant stream of non-answers, Xavier called Alexandre to attention and shifted until a Wolfman stood in his place. He broke rank and plunged into the fray, closing a large, clawed fist around the first vigilante throat he found. The human man’s eyes bugged wide as Xavier hauled him up by the neck and jumped, launching them both into a tree branch overhead.

His aura was so strong that it made me feel uncomfortable and caused me to take a step back. "Touch my woman in any way and I swear on whatever you believe in that I'll rip your head off," the man warned strongly with an accent, shocking me and everyone who had stayed behind. "My woman?" Larson asked, then shifted his gaze to Roxanne who was standing behind the man, peeking. She moved and stood by the man's side, linking her hand to his. "Family, meet my mate, Garren. He is a hybrid born from a vampire and a white Lycan," she introduced as everyone looked at them in silence.

The only normal one. The only prey. My heart pounded so hard against my ribs it hurt. The front door suddenly burst open with a bang that made me jump. Heavy footsteps thundered through the house. Male voices called out sharp commands in words I couldn't quite make out. Then Xavier appeared in the doorway. He was human again but he was covered in blood. It stained his torn shirt and dark jeans. Streaked through his hair. Smeared across his arms and hands like war paint.

Carina opened the door and entered, her head hanging low until she caught sight of the compromising scene in front of her. "Am I interrupting something?" She asked, a smirk threatening to appear on her face. I shook my head at her and then asked why she thought it necessary to be here. Not to be rude, but because I knew she had to have come for something important. "Rogue sightings near the borders. Along with a few humans. The guards have captured them. They're in the basement." She said. She the pasued before she said, “There’s something… strange about the humans though. They are… unnatural.”

The Earth Guardian charged forward, and the battle began. Xienma, Xavier, and Cassie fought with every ounce of strength they had, their movements synchronized, a testament to the bond they had forged. With each strike, they felt the energy of Zephyr coursing through them, empowering their every move.

He's a werewolf, bear, and vampire.” Harris said and Adonis raised his eyebrows. “Yup, that would be me. Nice to meet you!” Xavier said as he extended his hand, sizing the dragon up. Adonis somehow managed to keep himself under control as he reached out and shook the tri-bred’s hand. “Well, why don't we head into the backyard and I can introduce you to my son and his guardian. By the way, don't mind Silas. He's very protective over my son.” Reid said and Julian giggled.
