The only sound was my own ragged breathing and the crackle of the fire. I stood there. I was covered in blood. My dress was torn. My hair was wild. GRACE'S POV I walked into the parking lot, searching for Ethan. My eyes scanned the area as I slowly walked. After passing a couple of cars, my eyes landed on the young man, watching me silently, with a smile on his face, and sunglasses over his eyes. The smug look on his face as he waved at me, teasingly, made me scoff. “This dude.” I whispered, making my way towards him. When I got close enough, he took off his sunglasses and stuck them in his breast pocket, folding his arms over his chest.

There was a knock at the door. Elena’s entire body tensed. Xander was on his feet immediately, exhaustion vanishing in an instant. Filled with sensations that made his body tremble. That made him completely exhaust himself. That made him disappear into a darkness that blinded his eyes. That made him feel nothing.
