Gideon The Ninth Chapter Summary Novels & Stories

I thought I liked this side of her, the courageous, adventurous side I hadn’t seen before. At least now we had a direction in which to go. We needed to find more information about the Faiths. It may well explain all the strange things that were happening to me. After spending a few hours studying defensive magic, Gideon returned to the library. Diana and I had been engrossed in finding the right glyph and practicing the movements required to activate it. As we looked up from our books at the sound of Gideon coming through the library gates, I noticed a hint of annoyance on his face. However, my attention was quickly diverted by the strong, putrid smell emanating from him. I had to scrunch my

He pulled her behind his arms for protection, his expression suddenly contorted. “There are some spirits here, they are following us. Perhaps Farrer's henchman, I'll use some magic to drive them away." As soon as he finished speaking, Gideon used a yellow sheet of paper with a few doodles on it that looked extremely confusing. He glanced around, mumbling words that were difficult to understand, and then he threw the paper into the air. The yellow paper flew into the air and suddenly burst into flames. Lotus looked around in fear, but she didn't see anything. In the wind, however, she heard the sounds that were coming, they weren't too loud but enough for her to hear, the groans resounded in

Gideon’s grin widened, his eyes gleaming as he peered into the shattered pen. His suspicions were confirmed. The truth lay bare before him—Jaxon’s treachery, the very thing that had gnawed at the edges of Gideon’s mind, was now undeniable. For a moment, Gideon cursed himself for being blind to Jaxon’s cunning, for underestimating just how far his younger brother would go. Jaxon stood motionless, his cold, indifferent gaze fixed on Gideon. His demeanor was unshaken, as though the revelation meant nothing to him. That detached expression only fueled Gideon’s irritation. Still, he restrained himself, unwilling to explode just yet.

Anyway, I found a classic book from the little library inside the room and kept myself busy with it. I didn’t know how long I had been reading for before I fell asleep. “No!” Gideon suddenly roared, and clutched the sword that had just pierced through his abdomen with his bare hands. Blood splashed everywhere. He dropped to his knees, pain evident on his face. Someone stood over him, the one who had just cut through him. I couldn’t quite make out his face. “No!” I screamed as anguish washed over me, “no! Gideon!” I rushed to him and knelt beside him, trying to desperately use my magic to save him. But I couldn’t. I felt powerless. My magic wasn’t with me.

And it read: “Chapter 97: Where Liora Dies.” She dropped it, breath caught in her chest, The creature noticed her, Turned, And grinned. “You found your heart,” it said. “Let’s see what it costs you.” It raised its hands, And summoned the first god Liora ever denied. The sky cracked, And from it descended a shape made of betrayal. Kael, Crowned, Burning, Unforgiving.

I just looked out, anxious of what next. Gideon sat by the chair, bleeding profusely and there wasn't a single first aid box here. There was a lump in my throat and it was difficult to swallow.. I smoothen his tightened knot on his shoulder, saying calmly, “ You will be okay.” I looked at the window, I saw the man that Charles had previously beaten into a pulp, gradually getting up and picking something from his bag. A bomb! He threw it straight at us without blinking an eye.. Gideon's eyes went shut. ‘ Gideon.’ I yelled. But my mind is troubled.. “ The bomb.”

He turned, looking into Kan’s silver-grey eyes. "I tracked him to a hole called The Lead Pipe," Gideon said, his voice gravelly. "I touched him, Kan. I got close enough to see the way his pulse jumped in his neck." He let out a jagged breath. "He’s the one. He’s the third piece."

Suddenly, Glory, who was walking in the front stopped. "Prince, there's something up ahead," Glory said in a very low voice. "We have to hide immediately," Prince Xander replied, then took Gideon's hand. The three of them looked for a place to hide. Not far ahead there was a flame of fire. "Uncle, there are people there, I see there are nine people there," said Gideon. "It's so dark there. How can you see it in the dark?" Prince Xander asked Gideon. "Uncle, I can see anything in the dark. I can even see ants crawling near the ears of the man making the fire," Gideon replied in a whisper. Prince Xander and Glory were quite surprised to hear Gideon's confession. "Gideon, will you help us?" Pri

Eventually after a few failed attempts he got it open and on quickly. I swallowed nervously when the cap popped again. Gideon stared at me like a hungry predator ready to devour its prey. He leaned in, hovering over me. I let out a ragged breath and tried to stay distracted when he pushed my legs back. "Breathe," he repeated the word yet another time.

Then I crouch low to the ground and swing my body as I use my leg to trip him. Hugo falls back and hits hard, making him groan in pain. I place my knee on his neck. He chokes as he struggles for air. "You...will never win..." he gasps breathlessly. "Eva...is...our...salvation. She will...become... our God." I never thought I could easily take him down, but his burnt side made him weak and gave me the advantage. I pull out my pistol from my back and plant the end on his forehead.
