Gideon The Ninth Chapter Summary Novels & Stories

With that final, crushing warning, Gali turns his back on the tribunal and strides away, his heavy black cloak snapping in the icy wind. A heavy, suffocating silence envelops the entire burial ground. After what feels like an eternity of frozen horror, Allegra suddenly lunges forward. She grabs Gideon’s embroidered sleeve, dropping to her knees on the frozen earth with tears streaming down her bruised face. "Father! Tell me the truth! Tell me what is going on!" Gideon, gasping frantically for air as his heart strains under the pressure, violently shoves Allegra away from him, roaring in her face, "You believe Gali’s treacherous, divisive words?! You foolish bitch!"

“Queen of the Ashes. Heir of the Forgotten Goddess.” Elara closed her eyes. For the first time, she did not deny. She did not flee. She accepted. The flames wrapped around her, and the ruins trembled with awakening power. ---

Third-Person POV The hallway fell into a brief, dead silence. Antonio stood frozen in place, his fingers gripping his car keys so tightly that his knuckles turned stark white. An abortion? He had seen Natalina visiting the hospital for her prenatal checkup two days ago, so how could she have aborted the baby? And even if she did, why hadn't she told him? And… Giannino mentioned that Natalina had returned to the Corradini Famiglia, hadn't she? Why? Was she planning something new? But if she was, why hadn't she talked to him about it?

The alpha staggered, his eyes wide with shock, before crumpling to the ground. For a moment, the clearing was silent. And then Gideon turned, his gaze locking onto me. “It’s over,” he said, his voice calm and unhurried. I stepped forward, my blade at the ready. “Not yet.” Gideon tilted his head, amusement flickering in his eyes. “You still don’t get it, do you? This was never about Elijah. It’s about you.” Before I could respond, the ground beneath us trembled, and a deep, guttural growl echoed through the clearing.

Gideon stumbled as vines coiled around his ankles. “Enough!” Simon’s Alpha command slammed into us all. The roots withered. Mason’s hand found mine under the table. *Breathe*, his thumb stroked my wrist. Gideon righted himself, eyes blazing. “You’ll regret that, girl.” “Leave.” Simon’s voice shook the chandelier. “Before I revoke your right to breathe.” As Gideon retreated, his laughter lingered. “Enjoy your throne, brother. It’s crumbling.” **---**

But an Alpha that leaves his pack, his own mother, his Luna, and his grandparents at the mercy of a stranger without thinking twice isn't going to care if any of these people are killed. I order our men to get going. Our target is now Kedar Obeden. Anywhere he's seen, he must be arrested and brought to us to face the consequences of his actions. For now, I need to get to my mate. ** When I and a few of our men finally get to Gideon, he's lying helpless beside his car, almost lifeless. A look at the surroundings shows that the people who challenged him are all dead. Two of our warriors pick up Gideon and take him to their car. "Wooss, (woods)." Gideon says pointing to the side weakly. "Shyan,

I sat down and tapped the keys, my fingers moving by instinct. A notification was blinking on the main screen. No sender, no subject, just a video file. I clicked it. The screen flickered, then cleared. It was a small, concrete room with no windows, just a single chair bolted to the floor. And in that chair was Gideon. My breath hitched. He looked terrible. His face was a map of purple and yellow bruises. One of his eyes was swollen shut, and his hands were cuffed behind his back. But his other eye, the one that was open… was sharp. He wasn't broken. Not yet.

Gideon let a dark smirk touch his lips because he found her stubborn resilience intoxicating and challenging. "I expect nothing less than a brilliant performance from a woman willing to risk everything to protect her bloodline," Gideon murmured, his gaze dropping to her trembling hands. He knew she was terrified, but he admired the fierce fire burning behind her hazel eyes that refused to be extinguished. "We need one final detail to solidify the illusion before we face the wolves waiting downstairs."

“Let me see the journal.” Isla pulled the leather-bound book from her bag and handed it to him. Gideon opened it carefully, his fingers tracing the faded script and strange symbols on the pages. His eyes narrowed as he read, and for a long time, the room was filled with nothing but the sound of crackling fire. “This is old,” Gideon murmured, more to himself than to them. “Older than the Crescent Moon pack itself.” “Can you read it?” Isla asked, her voice laced with hope and frustration.
