As she looked across the clearing it was filled with wolves, black, brown, grey, sable, and one lone white wolf. He was immense and stood on the precipice, watching those below. A black wolf that was just as big approached and stood by his side. They exchanged glances and looked in her direction. She had to side step to avoid being bowled over by the gigantic black panther that barreled past her on her way to the top of the bluff. She rubbed her body along the side of the white wolf. She purred as he licked her head.

oh Goddess . the scent of her is a delirious mix of smells and emotions and memories: a wild run through pine forests, a plunge into cool water, the mewls of a newborn pup, the madness of the moon's call ... The other two wolves pad after her. Fulvio's giant ginger wolf (though he insists its gold-coloured) and Graydon Airwolf. Graydon seems so much younger in his wolf form. Elder hardly seems right though he has the same air of restrained power as in his human form.

I couldn't wait to learn more. The thick sound of a throat clearing broke the silence and the ranks of the Gaius pack parted, a wolf much taller than the others stepping forward. His hair was cut short, with more length on top of his head. It was a brilliant blonde, shining in the sunlight between the trees. It was lighter on top, darker at the roots. It was so brilliant it almost looked alive. He had the smallest amount of stubble on his sharp jaw, like he hadn't shaved during his journey. His shoulders were strong, I could tell as much from the way they filled out his dark grey shirt.

Still, his eyes were on me, his free hand running the length of my arm. Husky showed no indication of stopping his taste tests of the blood coming out of the scrapes on my body. I stood there, trying to recall whatever it was I learned from the self-defense lessons Ben had convinced me to take part in. I had no idea if they would work against vampires, but I figured it was worth a shot – if only just to stun them so I could make a run for it. It was wishful thinking, but it was the best I had.

Jackson found a seat near the front right as the first wolf was tugged forward by the leash. He held back a scowl when the wolf stumbled into the steps and nearly fell. I am then instantly pushed to the front of my mind and given back control. I look at the hair scattering the floor and my heart is thumping in my chest. ‘STAR! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!’ I yell at her. She huffs, rolls her eyes and lays down. ‘Saved your ass. Now, finish up. We have to go.’ she says and gets comfortable. I look in the mirror and quickly brush out my hair. It doesn’t look bad, and completely covers the brand but it still hurts that my hair has been cut. I quickly pin my hair back in a long braid that falls down my spine, leaving the new fringe and some hair falling loose around my face. I don’t want to risk it being on show to these Alpha’s after my wolf forcefully cut it and broke

They made sure to stay in the shadows so the sun wouldn't singe their skin. The large wolf with black glossy fur and eyes as silver as the moon growled lowly at Dimitri and Ambrosia. A ginger colored wolf only slightly smaller than the black stood ready to attack. The last wolf was gray with black tufts of fur. I deduced that the three wolves were Alpha, Beta, and Delta. All male.

“A little late to the party fellas..” She said in a cold voice. She grabbed her blades from the back of her dress and twirled them before slicing into a rouge wolf that lunged for her. The way she moved was like a dance and Jonathan had shifted into his wolf fighting along side her. She bent under a wolf as it attacked her and swiftly cut the underbelly causing its blood to drip on her face. She stood tall and pulled down the mask with a grimace “OH YUCK! I GOT ITS NASTY BLOOD IN MY HAIR! AND ON MY FACE!”

With its ears raised and teeth showing in a low growl, her wolf made an offensive gesture toward us. "You're the one who came to interrupt our conversation! Will you stop talking about your uncle for even a second?" Lynede stood up and her wolf immediately stepped in front of us for protection. Lynede's wolf was as big as Rhoda's, and with her dark brown fur burning like fire, it was hard to tell who would win.
