OAKHAVEN

OAKHAVEN

If I attacked the droid, Vane would pull the trigger instantly. *There has to be another way,* I pleaded in my mind. *Show me!* And then, I saw it. A tiny, hidden detail I had missed before. Beneath Vane’s desk lay the main fiber-optic conduit supplying power to the observation room's glass windows. The glass wasn't ordinary window glass—it was high-density smart-glass, held in place by an intense magnetic field. If the power conduit suffered a sudden voltage spike, the magnetic field would collapse, causing the massive glass panes to implode outward into the low-pressure atmosphere outside the tower.

A Girl in Glass

A Girl in Glass

Linking arms with my classmate, I turned around and walked away. After that, Sean never approached me again, though I would still see him from time to time in the library, in the academic buildings, and in the cafeteria. He always kept his distance, silently watching me. I never responded. To me, he was nothing more than a stranger. In my junior year, I met Elias Gibson, a senior in my department. We first met at an academic debate competition, where he was one of the judges. He gave my arguments high praise. After that, he often invited me to study at the library or eat together in the dining hall. We grew closer and closer.

Hey guys, thank you much for reading but please there's a problem. I noticed there's always a repeated chapter and I've been trying to fix that. Right now Chapter 121 is repeated, I think? So in other to fix that I uploaded a current chapter to replace that very one.

It’s so refreshing seeing a book that the female lead doesn’t just simply back down but tries to stand her ground. I can’t wait to see how Selene handles everything, especially with Eliot and his annoying mistress

Abigail's Absent Husband Is A CEO

Abigail's Absent Husband Is A CEO

Abigail began to admire him even more. As they continued chatting, they arrived at the edge of a cliff and from a distance, they saw a row of glass rooms that resembled spheres. Each glass room was built on the rocks at the edge of the cliff, giving the impression of being suspended in the air. It was a very scenic sight. According to Xander, some unique cutting-edge techniques had been used in their construction. The glass rooms were absolutely safe, save for during a massive tsunami or an earthquake of magnitude eight or higher.

This author ended the book without concluding the story. It finished Abigails story but then continued the book talking about Her friend Emma's past with Ron and then just stopped writing!! Paid alot to read this story just to be left hanging.

I paid a lot to read this book. only for the author to stop writing. she started dragging the recognition, then she finished the story of Abigal, then start talking about Lucas and Stella, she's not done with that, she jumped to Emma and Ron only to stop and keep me hanging. pls update the rest.

Blood and Betrayal

Blood and Betrayal

In the months Maya was away, we hadn't just changed the locks; we had stripped the house back to its bones. The "Smart Glass" had been ripped out and replaced with triple-paned, structural glass that didn't have a single sensor or wire connected to a remote server. The steel shutters had been integrated into the design, disguised as elegant cedar louvers that could be triggered by a manual lever inside the bedroom. I had redesigned the studio, moving my drafting table to face the nursery, ensuring that my work and my daughter were always in the same line of sight.

The Coochie Diaries

The Coochie Diaries

It closed behind them with a soft, solid sound, muting the party into a distant hum. The library was not a room of dusty books. It was a long, sleek space with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves made of dark walnut, filled with curated volumes on art, philosophy, and obscure histories. A few brutalist sculptures, angular, polished metal forms, stood on low plinths. The lighting was low and focused, pools of warm gold from recessed lamps, leaving shadows in the corners. One entire wall was glass, framing the same breathtaking city view, but now it felt private, owned.

His Unwanted Wife Returned as a Boss

His Unwanted Wife Returned as a Boss

They finally entered a room that looked like a temple of 1990s technology—massive spinning reels of tape, vacuum tubes, and a central console made of reinforced glass. "This is it," Julian said. "The Glass Server. It’s the prototype for every secure network on the planet. It’s slow, it’s clunky, but it’s unhackable from the outside. If we’re going to build a counter-virus to Logan’s Ares-Directive, we have to do it from here." Clara ran her hand over the glass console, her eyes lighting up with a mixture of awe and professional hunger. "It’s beautiful. It’s like a dinosaur that can still bite."

Married to the untouchable mafia lord

Married to the untouchable mafia lord

This is what I can tell you about what the glass is. It is not absence. People think it is absence — a switching off, a going away. It is not that. You are still there. You register everything. The weight, the cold of the sheets, the sound of the garden outside continuing its complete indifference. You register the specific quality of him — the unhurried thoroughness of a man who has decided something belongs to him and sees no reason to pretend otherwise. You register all of it. What the glass does is hold it at a distance that makes it survivable. Like looking at something very bright through smoked glass — you see it, you know what it is, you do not let it burn you. You file it. You note

The Lullaby of Wolfbane

The Lullaby of Wolfbane

“Meaning?” “Meaning he chooses meeting places based on how many ways he can leave,” Kael answers. “He stages the environment first, sentries, choke points, distractions. If he can’t control how people move, he doesn’t show.” Lia’s eyes sharpen. “And Glassworks?” Kael’s gaze flicks to her, impressed. “You already know the name.” Nate’s voice is flat. “We have the location.” Kael exhales. “Old Glassworks is one of his favourites. Lots of echo. Lots of broken sightlines. Lots of high platforms. And,” his eyes glint, “glass dust.”
