Bound By A Contract
I adjusted the rims of my glasses and nodded, feeling its weight on my nose and ears.
"You weren't with them when I first met you," she commented with her arms folded on the table as she focused on me.
"I wear contacts sometimes. The glasses give a headache, and make me look too serious," I explained to them, but Beth shook her head.
"You look nice with them though," she complimented, glancing forward with a grin as the waiter dropped our plates along with a bottle of wine.
"On the house," the guy explained and left, moving towards an elderly couple seated opposite us.
