In the middle of the cemetery there was a stone building. A crypt. The doorway was a gaping black hole. Jespert disappeared into it. I paused in the doorway and looked back at the Scooby gang jostling to let someone else go first.

I smiled. Zephyr came up to me and told me that e should see them off. I agreed. Zephyr and I walked with them to the door. Immediately they got passed, they vanished. I stood there, with my eyes wide, looking left and right for the dozen I was just looking at. They were gone, puff, like they never came. “No wonder they are called ghosts. They appear and disappear in a second like they were never there. Waw.” I thought our loud. They were so cool, I couldn’t help but swoon over them...

“Does your... friend... have any idea of where we should be looking?” At my question, Geo looks away and to a spot right beside me, causing a chill to race down my spine as I understand that the ghost must be there beside me. “He says it is in the burial grounds behind the temple.” Geo says quietly. “But there are boobytraps set up everywhere to stop people from getting near it.” Boobytraps… Were we characters in an action series? Why were things turning into some sci-fi movie? It was mind-blowing, but I guess just the fact we as wolves existed and hid our identities from the humans made it clear that anything was possible.

Clapping excitedly, she urged, "Daddy, let's go! I can't wait to go to the amusement park. I want to take lots of pictures and put them in the frame next to my bed!" A jolt of pain shot through my chest. I'd carried these pups for months and nearly died during labor, but as they left, the last bit of attachment I had toward them vanished. Chapter 15 As I lifted the fork to my mouth, intending to take a bite of fish, a sudden wave of nausea washed over me. Hastily, I rushed to the bathroom, retching violently into the sink. But with an empty stomach, there was nothing to expel, leaving me heaving and making me weaker. Burgess's concerned gaze bore into me as he entered the bathroom, his furrowed brows betraying his worry. "Are you allergic to seafood?" he inquired, his tone edged with concern.
