Even pushing together, we can't move the rock. The goblins are too close now. Within a matter of seconds, they'll be on us. Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath. There it is. The tiny flicker inside of me. Focusing on it, I let it grow ... and then I unleash it. The rock rolls down the hill and hits the first goblin. It screams as it's knocked off its feet and tumbles down the rocky terrain. The rock hits a couple more goblins, and the sight is gruesome. They definitely won't be getting back up. The rest of their buddies shriek in terror and back away, knowing they're in for something similar.

A strong blow twirled to our direction and it made all of us slammed on the trees, including the Mother. “Woah!” Fafaniya spun in the air like a dry leaf blown by the wind. My back ached from the impact and we all landed on the icy ground. “Mother!” the Marchans cried. They ran to their unconscious Mother. The other Marchans tried to resist and block the Goblin’s wind attacks. Their leader faced the Goblin with all his courage and pride. Some of his feathers were missing and he didn’t care at all. Proofs of the battles he survived, pieces of his life that the people stole from him.

I watch as he follows the soldier swiftly , they both speak to each other as they walk away – but their voices seem to fade and all I see is their hand movements when speaking. I let out a breath of relief and freedom as I take in the scenery before me. From where I stand with my back faced against the direction of the stable , I see the castle and how beautiful it looks. I admit , this castle does have a certain charm to it , however the inside it’s wall is a dark evil cave where the monster resides. That’s when I hear it. Grrrrrrr…. A low, spine-chilling growl. Coming from right behind me. I drop the book into my lap, snapping my head around at lightning speed. And find myself face to face with a snarling, ravenous black wolf.

“Orin!” I twisted sideways, spinning the frail, spindly, weight of the goblin sideways toward the puddle. I barely had a chance to glimpse the mage’s green-eyed reflection before his hands were stretching from the water. The goblin braced himself on two of his fists, stretching from the long bony arms originating from his back. Orin caught both of them and jerked them through the puddle which was rapidly expanding. As the goblin, lost his balance, I rolled from beneath him and crawled backward from the water.

He quickly lost account at the number of eyes now behind him, and on top of that, the noise of the cackling had increased enough to hurt even his ears! Then the creature slowly walked forwards, its green skin showing itself as a goblin. The ugly creature was holding what looked like some kind of jagged and rusted weapon. The goblins slowly all started walking forwards, as if they were waiting for some kind of command or signal allowing them to charge forwards.
