Street Diaries

Street Diaries

As the people spilled onto the streets, their faces alive with fervor, it became apparent that this was more than a mere escape, it was indeed a homecoming. It was on the morrow of this triumphant return that I felt a yearning to inspect the underbelly of the neighborhood that had birthed and nurtured us and our empire. Eesha, my tempestuous flame, was by my side, her eyes aflame with a thirst for adventure. She was no stranger to the ghettos so, everything we saw didn't surprise her much. Together, we stepped onto the desolate streets, our footsteps swallowed by the decaying asphalt beneath us.

This is a great book. I can't begin to express the several emotions I felt coursing through my veins while reading it. For this book, I've cried, laughed, and puzzled my mind with what would happen next. Definitely a good read I'd recommend to anyone.

The Mage's Heart

The Mage's Heart

she replied quietly. “I am without a home,” I said looking out across the garden, at the nodding flowers and dancing fairies. A family of spined imps moved between the lettuces. In any other garden, I might had mistaken them for hedgehogs, but here, a closer look revealed their origin. “And without a people. I cannot go home to the village. I no longer belong there. There is no home for me amongst my mother’s people, and no home for me amongst mankind.” “There will be a home for you in Arsiath,” she turned as the bell rung in the shop front. “Excuse me.”

A brilliant adult fairy tale! Dark romance, fairies, sirens, mages, dragons, dark elves, mermaids, trolls, imps, spells, and quests. I loved it, an action packed adventure from beginning to end. Folk lore and fae stories truly came alive, I fell in love with the characters and got lost in the story.

After My Daughter Threw Me Away, I Went Back to the Family

After My Daughter Threw Me Away, I Went Back to the Family

I came home from a business trip. My daughter Anna threw herself into my arms and held up a hand-strung necklace she had clearly worked hard on. "Mommy, this is the birthday present I made for Mommy Lena. She's going to love it, right?" My heart dropped. Lena was my husband Preston's secretary. My daughter remembered her birthday. She had forgotten that today was mine. It wasn't the first time. She was always attached to Lena, hanging off her arm and asking, "Mommy Lena, when are you and Daddy taking me back to the amusement park?" Even when she ran a fever, the name she called out over and over was Mommy Lena. I corrected her, disappointed. "Anna, I'm your mommy, not Lena." But Anna pushed

Dark Lands Homecoming

Dark Lands Homecoming

Dark Lands: Homecoming Authors Note: This story is a side note to The Charmer, meant for those of you who wanted to know Wiley’s story. It’s not meant to stand alone, so if you don’t already know how her story ends, you’ll have to read TC. She hated parties. Parties were full of happy, smiling people. Wiley James had never fit into that crowd, so she ditched her boss’s birthday bash and ran off to the hills. Literally. Sometimes a girl had to go AWOL.

Bullied Wife In A Contract Marriage

Bullied Wife In A Contract Marriage

I was at my highest. "You should go home, Gideon," I said. "You are going to get sick." "I don't have a home anymore," he replied. "You have Moore Crest." "Moore Crest is just a building full of ghosts and empty rooms," he said. "It is not a home." "You still have your car. Miller is probably waiting." "I told Miller to go home. I don't want the car either."

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

I asked. Nevan looked toward the east, toward the rising sun that promised only more blood. "Home," he said. "We don't have a home, Nevan." "We do," he said, his eyes glowing with a final, unbreakable obsession. "The world is our home now, Ruby. And it’s time we showed the tenants who the landlords are." He swept me into his arms and began to walk. The neural bridge hummed, a constant, beautiful, and terrifying song of power. Behind us, the Urals stood like silent sentinels, witnesses to the birth of a legend that would never be forgotten.

Wolf Riders MC

Wolf Riders MC

My hand automatically came up and rested on my flat stomach. I felt empty inside. My heart was still hurting, and seeing Steel again just reassured me again, that if I wanted my life back, I had to leave town. There were too many memories here, too much pain and suffering… Too much blood under the bridge… I pulled out onto the street--- and almost laughed at the irony. Steel and his brothers had gone down the street, into the city. I was going in the other direction, leaving it. Talk about beautiful poetry! Perhaps it was another sign from above or something! That it truly, really was over between us. That we were heading in different directions in life, and that this was what fate had in st
