It seemed like I had hit a nerve. He hurriedly covered his face. But I saw it. Beneath the mask was a face marked by burn scars. "Don't look! It's ugly!" the final boss shouted. "That's a burn. You were burned to death?" "No." The final boss grew upset. But I remembered that one year in high school, Grandma tried to sell me to a 70-year-old man from a neighboring village.

Her every footstep echoed like a ghost’s whisper. The lab was just as she remembered—machines half-melted, cables hanging like vines, dust blanketing everything in silence. She crossed to the old server cabinet and pried open the metal door. Inside—one small black drive sat waiting. Jax leaned over her shoulder. “That it?” She nodded. “Project Phoenix. My father’s last experiment. He said it was about rebuilding damaged neural pathways—maybe even resurrecting dead ones.” Jax gave a dry laugh. “So basically… zombie tech.”

I remained silent at the front, with my gun raised and ready the whole time. The emergency lights in the research lab flickered on and off, and the air stank of blood and decay. Distant growls of the zombies rumbled through the halls. We were about to reach the exit when a familiar wail cut through the darkness. "Help… Please, help me!" I took a closer look and saw Esmeralda pinned against a wall by three zombies, their teeth sinking into her. Her right arm had been ripped off, blood gushing like a fountain.

Their eyes were empty, unfocused, and they were both wearing a strange, hollow smile. The rescue team leader stepped forward. "Mr. Sands? Mrs. Sands?" Dad suddenly clutched the tin of spam against his chest and shrank backward, his eyes wide. "Shh. Be quiet," he whispered, his voice shaking. "There are zombies out there. Going outside means death. "This is the last of our food. We have to ration it. We have to make it last." Mom nodded along beside him, completely serious. "One less mouth to feed. You'll get to live a few more days."

POV: Zia I wake up on Day 5 with the smell of the airport still clinging to the back of my throat, but my heart feels... lighter. Knowing the truth about the way my parents died is like finally seeing the monster under the bed. It’s terrifying, but at least I know what I’m fighting. I want to fight. I’m tired of being "handled" like a fragile glass doll. "Clayton?" I call out, finding him on the porch. "Can I see them? The friends I’ve made? I want to have a dinner and game night. Here. Tonight."

On the day the zombie outbreak occurs, I tell my boyfriend, Valerio Petrucci, to come over and hide in my apartment, where my front door is already reinforced. Soon, sounds of the door being knocked can be heard. I'm about to get up when transparent comment bubbles appear in front of my eyes. "Don't open the door! Valerio isn't the only one out there—there are a bunch of loan sharks with him as well!" "One of them is already infected with the zombie virus and is about to turn into a zombie!"

So they just had to eat from any of the dishes they want. They talked and laugh, throwing insult at themselves at intervals. The movie came to an end minutes later "That was interesting" Nirvana commented "I know right" Aliya agreed "lets watch something else" she added and Nirvana nodded "What about Walking dead" Aliya suggested but Nirvana shook her head in disapproval "I see you're scared" Aliya teased "Since you're scared, lets go with annabelle" Aliya grin creepily "Fuck off" Nirvana snap and Aliya laugh

I gagged, sickened, repulsion twisting at my core. No one saw it, no one cared and as they danced, the rot spread from one person to the next, bubbling over their skin, spores infecting flesh, greedily eating them alive. They carried on, these animated corpses, smiling and laughing as they decayed in front of my eyes.

BZZZZZZT A blinding flash of electricity exploded inside the monster's throat. The smell of burning flesh filled the room instantly. The giant’s body went completely stiff, its pale skin lighting up from the inside out as the current fried its brain. Its huge empty eyes rolled back into its head. It tumbled backward like a chopped tree crashing heavily into the broken metal gate. BOOM The massive body blocked the five-foot gap completely acting like a wall against the hundreds of smaller zombies screaming right behind it. Gray rotting hands reached out from under the giant’s arms clawing wildly at the air. They could not push the heavy corpse out of the way.

Todd didn't want that. "Back to the report, please" Todd heaved a sigh of relief as Karl opened back the notes. "So, what is going to happen to the bitten" Karl sought answers again. "Have you ever watched a zombie movie?" Todd tried explaining in the easiest way he thought Karl would understand. "Are you saying they will become zombies?" Karl asked excitingly. "Yeah, more like that" Todd hoped he had satisfied him. "How are we going to know you are not lying" Karl asked ridiculously. Todd was maddened.
