Goodnight Mr Pocket Novels & Stories

“Wait…What’s this? Is this…blood?” Beethoven’s classic played. It's his phone ringing. Matthew searched for the device and found it lodged in the corner of the bed, a strong indication of what happened last night. “Grandfather,” he answered. [Good morning, Matthew. I am in a good mood today!] Gerald Lancaster’s voice was alive on the other end of the line. His throaty laughter sounded like music to Matthew’s ears. [Take a guess why, come on.] The man urged his only grandson with so much enthusiasm.

He grabbed a heavy ceramic bat, bringing out his phone. “ Hello, police, I think there’s a burglar in my house” He said and ended the call. Switching the bat to his left hand, he exhaled deeply, twisting his arm and neck and wobbling his hands like a soldier preparing for attack. His heart was already beating in his stomach. He waited patiently for the so called burglar to come out. Yan yawned loudly, doing some stretches on the bed. She climbed down the bed, feeling as energized as ever.

alright, go ahead ,and hurry back . Lily finished in the restroom and smoothed her clothes before heading out . She accidentally bumped into someone and fell down . “Ouch!” “You bumped into me,” Lily said in a childish tone, yet her eyes held a reproachful look. Nathan Robinsons heard the sound coming from a beautifully dressed little girl sitting on the ground. He was amazed by her small temper, “are you alright little one?” He asked as he crouched down and tried to help her up, Then he froze, she looked just like the little girl In his memory , with those dark hazel eyes.

he said in an authoritative tone, "But---", he cut me off again, "No, if, no but, let's go to bed now," he makes me stand up from the couch and start pushing me from behind with both of his hands on my shoulders, "Goodnight tiger," Harry said waving at me, "Goodnight," Maria said leaning on Harry's chest, hugging him from the side, "Goodnight Mr. and Mrs. Black," I yawn, and darkness consumes around me, What tomorrow brings nobody knows........... nobody knows...........

Jaxon's POV The alarm clock's shrill beeping cut through my exhausted sleep at 5:30 AM. I groaned and rolled off the lumpy motel bed, my back protesting from another night on what felt like a pile of rocks wrapped in cheap sheets. The Sunset Motel wasn't exactly five-star accommodation, but it was what I could afford on a garage mechanic's salary.

I clicked the kid’s door shut and let out a breath I’d been holding since the first page of Goodnight Moon. The hallway was dark, just the faint glow of the night-light bleeding under his door, and the whole house smelled like grilled steak and red wine gone sour in the glass Mrs. C had left on the counter. She’d stumbled upstairs twenty minutes earlier, muttering about a headache, wine sloshing over the rim, her bare feet slapping the hardwood. Mr. C was supposed to be at poker night. His truck was still in the driveway, headlights off, engine ticking as it cooled.

He let out a low, mocking laugh. I scooped up the pillow I had placed between us and slapped it across his face. “Shut up.” He just laughed louder, pulling his end of the quilt over himself. “Good night, baby. Sleep tight .Do not let the bedbugs bite!” he added, doing his strange little wiggle-dance under the covers. I shook my head, settling in with my back to him, determined to ignore his nonsense. "Guess, we are not going to see each other tonight as well..." * * * "Mr. Marsh, it's time for medicine." Ronald Heiki, one of the top doctors in the country walked to Emmett Marsh who was seated on the wheelchair. Emmette has sea-green eyes, blond hair and some of them grey. He let out a sigh and looked at the outside from the window. "What time is it now? Dr. Heiki." "It's 10 am in the morning, sir." "10 am..." He murmured subconsciously, still looking at the distance. "Give it to me."

I said, my voice thick with emotions. He had no idea what his compliment just did to me right now. In the midst of all I was going through, the scandal about me on the internet, and succumbing to the horrible rules of Mr. Hedge just to gain a favor, this meant the entire world to me. I knew without a doubt that I would sleep tonight with at least, a grin on my face. “You called me for a reason, right?” He asked. “Yes, I did,” I answered. “Oh, goodness, and I just filled your ears with silly talk,” he said lightly and chuckled.

After getting the card to room 204, as indicated in the blue card given, he unlocked the door and pushed it open then felt colour drain out of his face. She laid on the bed and slept off for a few minutes. Then she suddenly woke up again. "Why is it so hot in here?" She questioned herself and started taking off her clothes, starting with her shoe. She pushed her skirt down and just then, the door flung open and a man came in view.
