Two of the larger Ghost Boars let out furious howls and charged at him. Chase stomped down, his foot crushing the skull of one boar, bursting it open as blood and brain matter splattered everywhere. The boars fell one after another. Then, an even bigger, more muscular Ghost Boar rushed in. A deafening screech filled the air. The massive boar opened its mouth, spitting out a fireball that shot straight for Chase's head. "Such a cheap trick!" Chase scoffed, raising his palm and slapping the fireball mid-air.

" Wow! It doesn't seem like she can see ghosts hmm. Yes she can see ghosts but she doesn’t want to tell to other people about that. "But you can see ghost duh!” I said with full of sarcasm. "Yep. If it's a real ghost, and are you scared in ghosts? Opps.. you’re a ghoster remember?" And my crazy friend laughed as if she wasn't a ghoster too. "Wow am I the only ghoster here? You too" I muttered to her. "Hmm Aeshe whats the feeling of being ghosted?” she asked me out of nowhere. "Did you see the guys who cry when we are leaving them? And to see a guy crying with just a week of flirting with them it would have been a lot of pain that it caused them to cry like that." I said to her.

She tugged the paper behind her, adjusting her sitting position so she face him properly, her bland expression quickly masked up with delight. Throat bobbing, hands balled into tight fists and the underside of his shoes tapping against the floor. Minutes after minutes, seconds after seconds and all Ghost did was laugh. In mockery, in rage, in fascination, loathe perhaps. But all he did was laugh stupidly at my idiocy and I sat through the torture of the disturbing frequency eliciting his throat. “Greedy ass bitch.” He finally recollected himself and cursed, causing my eyes to widen. “Don’t be mouthy, Ghost.” I gritted through clenched teeth. “A person of your status has no business sitting in a meeting with me and definitely has no business cursing at me.”

I had to settle for holding his hand. The gloopy sounds of a transformation began. Bones broke and rearranged. The bear disappeared, and a mountain of a man took his place—a bearded, very hairy mountain of a man. “I’m here to see the Colonel. You, Esmerelda?” I nodded, and a low growl vibrated in Ghost’s chest. “Don’t mean no harm. He said you keep tearing up his lawn with your witchy skills.” He chuckled. “That man loves his lawn. The name’s Boomer.” “This is Ghost, my mate.”

Alexander’s POV "You are such a fool!" Ghost roared inside my head, scratching to be released. He was angry at me for the loss of focus. "How could you be so stupid?" He continued ranting at me. "Couldn't you see she was toying with you? I can't believe you fell for that silly plan of hers. Everyone could smell it a mile away!" "I..." I shook my head in disbelief. It happened so fast that I didn't see it coming—in less than an eye blink, she had me on my ass eating dust.

All you had to do was give her a crane made from craft paper, and she’d talk about it for weeks like it were something special. Girls were silly, but I gave her more paper animals because seeing her bounce around all happy like that made me feel like I did something good. She slid off her seat and began to make her way to me when Ghost jumped through the wall, becoming visible just as his sneakers hit the floor. He shouted, “BOO!”
