Greek Mythology Olympus Novels & Stories

Everywhere she looked, bright blue afternoon sky stretched as far as she could see; a great silence reigning over the environment to be punctuated every few seconds by the sound of waves crashing against rocks below. An island, she realised. Olympus was located within a mountainous island. Olympus's location wasn't the only thing Megan found to marvel at as the open space where they had emerged was the size of a football field. In fact, it was built to resemble a football field. Now, there weren't any green turf or white marked lines to be seen; or even the spectator seats, for that matter. But anyone with half an architectural sense would see that the bowl shape of the space which seem to f

My father’s eyebrow shot up in a horrified expression, his mouth twisting in disappointment. “Now, Callista. I know that all of these movies now days focus on Zeus and the Olympian gods and goddesses but you cannot tell me that you never paid any attention when I spoke to you and your brother about the other aspects of mythology. Greek mythology doesn’t revolve around the titans versus the Olympians.” my father’s voice went into his lecturing tone and I had to force myself not to zone out like I did under the usual circumstances. “I’m sorry I didn’t pay attention Baba, I truly am. Please can you teach me about Morpheus?”

"This is very powerful medicine we got from the Dryads" Leo narrowed his eyes, "From what?" Mia giggled, shaking her head, "Dryads are wood nymphs. They have knowledge about every herb and wood in the forest" "You went to Olympus?" I question, my mouth parted in surprise. The entire mountain was sacred and only for Greek gods. No one was allowed there unless it was an official business or the Ball hosted by them. They don't entertain guests because Hera made a strict policy about it. Just because her husband can't keep it in his pants everyone else has to suffer the rules.

Otherwise, he might kick the bucket here if he was not careful. After all, the three gods on the opposite side were not weak. Meanwhile, far away in the central area of the 12 Sacred Halls of the West, it was the most sublime place of the underworld in the West. The sacred Mount Olympus! It was the palace of Zeus, the most powerful, mysterious, and ancient god among the 12 Sacred Halls! He was the chief god of the 12 Western gods, the king of the gods! At this moment, in the splendid city on Mount Olympus that symbolized holiness, countless Westerners were having a carnival.

"Why is it called 'home of the gods'? These people seem to believe in all this nonsense about Home of gods, and Mount Olympia. "A long time ago, after the war between heaven and the underworld, Zeus and those on his side decided to dwell amidst the mortals, right here, on Mount Olympia, to protect them." She said. She seemed quite happy to tell the story, like she was present when it all happened—if it actually did happen. All this doesn't make sense. Why would Zeus come to earth to protect mortals, couldn't he do it right there, from heaven? "How do I get to this home of the gods, house of Zeus?"

It’s as if I don’t want to wake up from the dream I can make use of as an escape against the cruelty of the human world. But of course, the fact that this place is also dangerous for a mere human like me brings height to my fears. Especially since I just received a death threat from one of the most powerful here in Olympus. Speaking of powers, Professor Damaris told me that there is Seven Caste of Powers here in the Olympus, wherein people were ranked based on the level and contribution of their powers to the Olympus.

Then suddenly I remembered what my father said when he gave me the sword. "My dear, always remember that this sword is special because it came from the Greek god Ares who is the God Of War. He made this sword himself" father said "But father, it looks like an ordinary sword. How can it be special aside from the God of War Ares is the one who gave and made it?" I asked "Just concentrate and think about what you want and it will be the thing you wanted it to become," father answered Right! That's it! Now I understand that! I immediately raised my sword and closed my eyes and concentrated.

I told him smiling and remembering that day. “You’re very own Mount Olympus.” Zeus said. “Huh?” I asked as I turned to Zeus. “It’s the perfect place for you to not only see everything but it also keeps you connected with nature. You’re up high enough that the winds and rains will touch you, the earth and trees are all fertile, the air is clear, I hear a stream nearby, and I can feel other beings around. Not just us. Were these the woods you got lost in?” Rhea said and asked.

"So basically, a kid a month for a little over four years? It looks like Zeus allowed the Menae to be goddesses, even though Endymion was human. There is no mention of any names or their powers, but if they are goddesses, they would have some type of power, right?” Bronx strums his fingers against his cheek as he looks at the laptop screen, "Alright, so this says there were two Olympiad cycles. Ancient Greeks believed one four-year cycle had forty-nine months and a second cycle had fifty months. Something to do with the lunar cycle because that is how they kept track of time. We don't use lunar cycles to keep track of time anymore, so it doesn't matter that there's more than twelve full moon

So yeah, it made sense to travel together. But what we walked into? Eleven major gods of Olympus, chained to their thrones by... things. Creatures I didn’t recognize. We ducked behind a massive pillar backed up to a wall. Imps. Demons. Succubi. Demi-gods. They were restraining the Olympians. The only ones missing? Hades, Persephone... and Hermes. Hades, I get. He’s only allowed on Olympus one day a year—the winter solstice. Zeus made him that deal when Hades became Lord of the Underworld. Physically, he can’t step foot on Olympus unless it’s that day.
