***** As evening settled over the forest, the rain eased into a soft drizzle. The air smelled of wet pine, woods and earth. Kaizen stepped outside to gather more firewood. Nyra wandered through the quiet cottage, she wasn't snooping, not intentionally. Curiosity simply led her down a narrow hallway she'd somehow missed before. At the end stood an old wooden door. Slightly open. She pushed it gently, a study. Dust floated lazily through beams of fading sunlight. Books lined every shelf….an antique desk stood beside the window. And on the wall…

Greta and Gabby made their way to Page Turner’s Bookstore just down the street from the Blue Moon Inn. Once inside the warmth of the large shop, Greta was surprised to see a bright modern shop, which included not only a metaphysical section, but my children’s section, too. With soft upbeat music playing in the background, it didn’t take long to find the shopkeeper chatting away to a rather wild looking dog by a fireplace.

Her voice trailed off, but the implication hung heavy in the air. Margaret’s gaze sharpened as she took the book. She ran her fingers over the cover, her lips pressing into a thin line. “This is no ordinary book,” she said quietly, her words laced with certainty. --- Explaining the Truth “What do you mean, not ordinary?” Ryan’s father, Michael, asked, his skepticism evident. Chapter 1 The bookstore smelled like fresh coffee and old paper, the way it always did on event nights. Elena Reyes stood at the front of the packed reading room, microphone in hand, watching twenty kids and their parents lean forward as she finished the last chapter of the bedtime story. Laughter rippled through the crowd. A little girl in the front row clapped so hard her pigtails bounced. Then her phone buzzed on the podium. Once. Twice. Three times. “Do you have somewhere in the house that is private?” “Mack, I think you came to the right place.” Haven laughed, and she looked at him with a smile. She took his hand and started walking to the back of the house. When he walked into the furthest room in the house, he thought something was slightly off about the room, but he couldn’t figure it out. When she walked to the sidewall, though, she moved the book on the bookshelf, and soon there was a door that was open, and she was pulling it open.

The doors were labelled with planets of the solar system except Earth; they were not labelled for figurative purpose because each door actually leads to the planets mentioned; those doors were known as “Dimensional Gates” Eric opened a brown door in front of him which had no tag, the door led to a large library, he climbed up three steps and was standing in the large room full of book shelves; one could spend a life time dedicated to reading and still not finish the books in this library. "I was following you, obviously. Wouldn't it be nice if the three of us had a little chat?" We both nod. "I've been doing research all afternoon and I think I've figured out how they got into our territories undetected." I say as I leave to get the book that gave me so many answers. Elliot pushes the champagne glasses and Ben picks up the book he brought to make some space. "What's this?" Elliot asks, pointing to the green book with his chin. "Oh, nothing. It was to be more believable." Answers Ben. I open the book to the page I marked with a satisfied look. I spent hours there before I found THE answer.

He left. I looked toward the doorway. Johanna Green. I had never met her. I knew very little about her beyond what I had learned while investigating Mr. Green. His daughter. Protected. Wealthy. Recently injured. I reopened the book. For some reason, I found myself rubbing my thumb slowly along the side of my index finger. I stopped. I looked down at my hand. I didn't know when I had developed the habit. I returned to the page. Tomorrow, Mr. Green's daughter would arrive at Purple Gardens. I had no reason to care. So I didn't. At least that was what I told myself.

Tessa POV With a quiet click, Dorian pressed his palm to a hidden indentation in the wall. A subtle mechanism shifted, and the panel released with a muted hiss of air. The door swung inward, revealing a room unlike anything I’d expected. I stepped in slowly, blinking at the sudden shift in light. The room was illuminated not by harsh fluorescents or firelight, but by soft amber glowstones embedded in the ceiling - gentle, almost reverent. The space stretched wider than I’d anticipated, filled with shelves, scrolls, and books that looked ancient. The scent of ink, leather, and earth lingered, grounding and intimate.
