Mage of Wolves
Despite the fact that I usually preferred contemporary novels or even mysteries, I found myself lost in their pages and the language from centuries ago.
I was sitting near a cluster of beautiful, orange bloomed flowers that smelled light and airy, reading an old copy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales when I realized I wasn’t alone. I looked up to see a girl about my age staring at me with bright, lavender eyes.
Setting my book down, I shifted but didn’t stand. She was really pretty. Her dark hair was cut short at jagged angles that framed her pretty face in an unexpected way. She was petite, probably three inches shorter than me, and thin but muscular.
