She confronted with a daring step edged to his desk. “Do not start this Mia, I don’t have time.” Rex warns while he nursed his lower part with an ice pack. “Well, I do. Let me recall… from Tracy to Sam, to Raven, then Camilla, Love, Brianna, Sasha, and lastly, Susanna the bitch from the west coasts. Damn, I’ve always hated that sly Grinch.” Maria made a disgusted face clearly, she hates Susie's guts more than any living soul.

"Martha is making dinner tonight. I'd rather not have to come fetch you... again." *** Around the dinner table, there were ten of them: Nico, Martha, Dempsey, Bryan, Zack, Daniel, Shea, and Marx, sitting at the head of the table. They all passed around bowls and platters, scraping generous portions onto their plates. Martha had created a feast. Amara gasped dramatically placing her hand over her chest. "We can?!” Martha rolled her eyes. "Of course, we can.” Sometimes Martha thought Amara was just a child in an adult’s body. Adorable and irresistibly cute. They spend half an hour in there, trying new ice creams and chatting. Martha suddenly glanced at her watch. “We need to hurry, I need to cook dinner for Mr Luca.” Martha frowned.

“Martha, I have the first items of clothing.” At hearing her voice I released Cherish, but not before she landed several bruising punches to my ribs. “You do not get to fucking touch me,” she hissed, “I never agreed to any of this,” and stormed into the bathroom, slamming the door. I looked at Martha pleadingly. She just smiled and whispered, “I see nothing, I’ll leave the rest of the piles outside and knock.” “Thank you Martha,” I sighed, sitting back down on the bed. Why the fuck did my skin tingle where her face met my chest? Why am I desperate to hold her there again?

{Martha's POV} I had just finished wrapping things up in the office and was about to leave when Hendrix opened the car door for me. Just as I was about to step inside, the sharp clicking of heels on the pavement made me pause. "Martha, how dare you?!" Rachel’s voice cut through the air like a blade. Before I could react, she lunged toward me, almost jabbing me in the ribs, but Hendrix was quick, he grabbed her arm, pulling her away before she could make contact.

Martha turned back to her friends and gave them an apologetic smile, “Let me take her back to the reception. If she is mated to the warrior, then we can’t take her to servants’ quarters either. I was already tired from the traveling and my feet were killing me. The slight burning in my fingers seemed to improve but I didn’t want anyone to witness the pain. We walked back to the reception where Martha went to the lady named Gracie and started whispering something in her ear. The reception woman used the subtle motion of her finger to ask me silently to come closer.

I dismissed them as I needed a tranquil environment. When I reached the bottom of the stairs and moved over to the lobby, I found Martha seated on a chair and she was watching a movie on her phone. She quickly ended the video, but I caught a snippet of the conversation. The video was about the existence of werewolves and if they were real creatures or a myth from a fantasy world. "Mr. Weston, are you done?" Martha asked me. Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment like a criminal caught in the act. I stepped closer to meet her and replied, "Yeah. I am done. What were you watching?"
