Chased By The Light

Chased By The Light

With three Sentinels, three wolf packs and other shifters, vamps and witches, we might have a chance at defeating them all. Once the light from our eyes faded, we began to swirl around the beam, while gently being lowered to the ground. By the time we reached the grass, our body's were our own and we were able to place our feet on the ground. The beam of white light had little speckles of gold and blue glitter floating through it and when I looked up, I could see the top of the beam disappearing. It was making it’s way down to us and when it hit the floor, it exploded, but we didn’t move. We knew the light wouldn’t hurt us and it didn’t. Our wolves and our human bodies absorbed the light. I

So lovely to see a book on this site using correct grammar. I don't love the sudden personality shift of the main character. I would have softened him originally if she was going to follow that behavior trend. However, overall, compelling story where you want to learn more about the characters.

Mend My Broken Heart

Mend My Broken Heart

"The light that will guide you on your journey." As they approached the glowing light, Sarah and Alex felt a sense of warmth wash over them, banishing the cold grip of the darkness that surrounded them. "It's beautiful," Sarah breathed, her eyes wide with awe. Alex nodded in agreement, a sense of relief flooding through him as they drew closer to the light. "It feels... safe," he murmured, his voice filled with gratitude. But just as they reached the threshold of the glowing light, a sudden gust of wind swept through the darkness, threatening to extinguish the beacon of hope before them. Sarah's heart raced as she struggled to keep her footing, the force of the wind threatening to push her b

Rejected By The Alpha, Cursed By The Moon Goddess

Rejected By The Alpha, Cursed By The Moon Goddess

Every particle in the room seems to be drawn to the thread's luminescence as if it's a beacon calling out to the very essence of existence. The light was both fierce and beautiful, a testament to the power of magic to reveal hidden truths, guide us to our desires, and connect us to the very heart of the universe. “Any moment now,” I whispered impatiently. When the thread finally darts out of the room, it streaks across the landscape like a shaft of light, its brilliance standing out against the daytime sky like a celestial messenger carrying a message from the gods. It pierces through the air, undimmed by the sun's rays, guiding me to the target's location with unwavering precision.

He is hiding something. "Come in," a voice says inside the hut. It sounds deep and firm. Tad motions to go in first but I hold his shirt, pulling him back. "Who is that?" I whisper, staring into his eyes. "Gabriel. The leader of the pack," he answers. He unlocks the door and opens it wide for me to enter. I slowly walk into the but holding my breath. Tad follows behind me and whispers into my ears. "Relax mi lady." His voice causes goosebumps to form on my skin. I hear light footsteps approaching the room we are in.

Her Darkness, His Light

Her Darkness, His Light

No one to tell these guys what to do. As he drove further east, the sky became darker. "About fifteen minutes more in case you're wondering Little Flower." "Okay," I looked ahead. Just as I was drowning in my own thoughts, something caught my eye. There was a soft glow up ahead to our left. I watched closer and the glow grew brighter. Only it wasn't a glow. Its looked more like a flame and it was moving.

LIGHT AFTER DARK

LIGHT AFTER DARK

Lara recalled the cluster of security men converging on the helipad, blurred glimpses of an incredibly large white villa, and heat that only increased the nonstop pounding behind her temples. Jet lag had finally caught up with her. A rueful grimace slanted her face as she gingerly slid out of bed to gratefully appreciate that the ground beneath her feet was no longer rocking. It was dark outside. Locating the bedside light, Lara glanced at her watch. “8 pm… Are you kidding me?” The housekeeper, at least Lara assumed the warm, matronly woman who had come to her assistance was the housekeeper, had been a merciful savior. She had taken charge, banishing Christophe and helping Lara to bed.

Veil Of A Secret Vow

Veil Of A Secret Vow

"I hope I'm getting a passing grade." The tiny light before him shimmered brightly. Astera chuckled softly. "It seems your courage outweighs your fear." Victor looked genuinely surprised. "I was aiming for survival." Even Damien allowed himself a small smile. The warmth lasted only a moment. Then the largest light drifted toward Zevarion. Another floated to Elyra. The two lights circled them before merging into one brilliant star. The entire chamber illuminated. The city's voice echoed once again. "Dual Guardians confirmed." "Final Authority granted."

The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

It made no sound, yet the tunnel seemed to listen to it, the old stone taking on that hush sacred places sometimes carried right before a candle was lit. It refused to fall. It drifted forward, as if guided by some ancient memory of the path. The small globe of Emberlight ascended to shoulder height and glided ahead, unhurried, as if it carried the memory of every footstep ever taken through this passage. Its glow was steady, alive, painting the tunnel walls in molten gold. This was not the unruly hunger of Hellfire. It did not devour, did not assert dominion. It illuminated, it revealed, it moved with the patience of a saint’s vigil lamp, a guiding flame meant for sanctuary rather than judg
