Everything will be good again. I didn't realize I had fallen asleep. When I wake up, the sky is a little lighter and we're still driving. God, I was hoping I would wake up in my warm bed back home, my only home, but I'm still here. The severity of yesterday's occurrences are starting to sink in slowly, and I feel a despair so great that I become breathless for a few minutes. Gustavo is dead.

"Just tell me." Ivy is used to Cela's lack of emotion. As her editor, she's mastered handling her so well. "Your second book is selling faster than the first one. I watched Gustavo make lunch as we talked about silly things, I like the way he calls himself as a third party, “Gustavo likes to cook,” Smiling, I said, “I can see that, at this rate you’ll practically make me fat,” “Oh no, Gustavo likes you this way, and so does my boss,” he said the last part wiggling his brows, I smiled shyly, I took a glass of ice cream with a spoon, “you think she likes me this way?” “Yes of course, Gustavo observes and is always correct. Leaning on the island with my elbows, I took a spoonful of ice cream, I was about to reply but I was a voice was quick to answer before me,

All I cared about was him coming back to life, and if it would take seeing her evil face to bring him back then I wouldn't mind. "Okay," Pedro said to me, and then he took out his phone to make the call. "Put it on speaker," I said to him, and he did exactly as I asked. "Ma'am, your presence is required. Mr. Gustavo passed out a few moments ago, and his last wish was to see you," he said, and then she gasped. "Oh my God, I'm on my way!" She exclaimed, then she ended the call. *****

I’ll let her cool off. Just as I was about to leave the house, my phone rang, breaking the silence of the starless night. “Boo. Where are you? I have bad news. Are you sitting down?” “What is it gramps?” I said, sitting on the porch, my heart beating fast from the tone of his worried voice. “It’s Gustavo. He’s dead.” “What? What happened?” I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed. “They caught Frank, but Gustavo’s other grandson, Matteo, got angry that Gustavo gave the business to Tony, the younger, smarter brother. Well, long story short, they were killing each other and Frank escaped through the chaos.”

By using his power, Gustavo had gotten the bed next to Charlie. He was just about to chat with Charlie to butter him up when the phone in his pocket suddenly buzzed. He quickly took out the phone and looked at it. He was a bit surprised to see that it was a call from Bruce. 'What the fuck?!' Gustavo cursed in his mind. 'How dare he call me?! Does he think he is a big shot?' At some point, Gustavo had a clear reluctance to answer calls.

Carla looked at Gustavo with a smirk, like she wasn't in trouble some minutes ago, twice, "What are you getting all worked up for? I didn't ask for your help and I don't need it now. Just leave me alone." I smiled at the reaction on Gustavo's face. His face turned red with anger, "Fine. We'll leave you to it. But just so you know, I'm gay, and Dorian here is interested in someone else. So you don't have to worry about us trying to hit on you or anything." I looked at Gustavo with surprise, not expecting him to reveal his sexuality so openly. Carla seemed taken aback as well, but then she burst out laughing. "Oh, I see. I guess I owe you an apology then. I didn't mean to offend you."

I’m on the floor crying, clutching my stomach. Anthony excuses himself to take a call. “Okay, let me show you where you’re sleeping,” Gustavo says once we’d calmed down. “I got some stuff to do,” he eyed his wristwatch. “They’ve already taken your things,” I watch Gustavo leave with Indra and stuck around, turning to Mr Stark. “You don’t have to follow us,” I said quietly. “Yeah, I guess I have to go,” he said looking at his wristwatch. We both stare at each other and I want to know what’s he thinking, since he’s seen the side of me I thought was buried. I swallowed hard.

“He’s been ignoring my calls. Three. Days. Nothing. After everything I gave him.” My smirk was slow, cruel. “I told you,” I said, voice soft but biting. “Xavier Gustavo is the devil in designer suits.” Liam ran a hand through his hair, frustration clear. “I should’ve known better than to trust him. But he’s going to regret it. Not just for using me. But for hurting you.” I met his eyes then. The storm in them matched mine. “The Gustavos think they’re untouchable,” I whispered. “But they messed with the wrong ones.”
