Lauren knew that some of them would dare others to run up and touch the porch, or would climb the hill with the intention of egging the windows on Halloween. Nana didn’t mind the kids looking to prove their courage by touching the building, but every Halloween night Nana sat on her porch all night with a hunting rifle leaning next to her and stared down anyone foolish enough to approach her home with ill intent. She also had a bucket of candy for anyone with enough guts to trick-or-treat from her. Since so few children were brave enough (and so few parents wanted to make the climb) they were usually richly rewarded in the form of handfuls of candy instead of one measly piece.

But who knew that the fantasy romance novel would suddenly get turned into a horror novel. 'Halloween's Party', a game where selected people gets chosen to participate in a supernatural survival game. Those selected people are called as the ‘Players’. It is said that if you complete and clear 'Halloween's Party' you will get what you desire. No matter the wealth, beauty, power or even immortality.

Jones utters in shock when she walks out of her bathroom and finds a huge pumpkin on her bed. Just then the pumpkin shakes, causing her to jump in fright; even as a fearsome warrior, she got startled. She slowly approaches the bed after grabbing her sword, intending to cut the pumpkin open to check. But before she can strike, a baby's cry rings out. Mrs. Jones gasps as she hurriedly tosses her sword to the side and approaches the pumpkin. Taking a closer look at the pumpkin, the name Caroline in olden writings, and she realizes the thing has a lid. She opens it, and a beautiful baby girl smiles at her.

Winter POV The pack grounds never looked like this before. Strings of orange lanterns hung between the trees, glowing like small captured suns. WITH ONLY one day left to Halloween, the people of Cape Cod were already setting into the mood of the Oktoberfest event.
