Damien and I were walking into the training room when we found Lucifer and a young woman sparring in the middle of the mat. Lucifer had his entire body engulfed in flames, and his partner looked like the most peaceful being I had ever seen. She had a floral headband and brown hair with ringlets all the way around, not a strand out of place. She was standing there just as Damien had weeks back when Lucifer was aiming the flaming arrows at him and I worried, but Damien leaned down to reassure me, “This is going to be good,” with a smile and quick lift of his eyebrows.

The terrifying Halo of Death struck the barrier, and Maddox let out a crazed laugh. No power could withstand the Halo of Death.
