DeMarco woke with a pounding headache, his mouth dry and the sunlight stabbing through his eyelids. As he lay there, his mind raced through the fog—what had he done last night? Flashes of laughter, swirling lights, and the clink of glasses came to him in fragments. He remembered running through city streets, a blur of joy and recklessness.

Liana My head is pounding. Not nearly as much as it probably should be considering the amount of tequila I put away last night, but the ache is definitely there, enough to be annoying. Part of it is the lingering hangover. The other part is from spending way too much time trying to force my brain to remember what the hell happened after I threw up. Fragments keep flashing through my mind. Blurry snapshots. Nothing that stays long enough to grab onto. The harder I try to piece it together, the more everything slips away.

Emily’s POV The sunlight filtering through the blinds felt like punishment. I groaned, dragging the pillow over my face, trying to escape the stabbing light that sliced into my skull like a thousand tiny ice picks. My tongue felt like sandpaper, my stomach twisted in confused rebellion, and my thoughts moved sluggishly, like they were coated in syrup. A hangover. A real, undeniable, soul-splitting hangover. How quaint. I hadn't had one in so long that I almost forgot what it was like to feel both dead and alive at once.

She takes a lot of ice cubes in a bowl and a spoin and starts chugging them down also welcoming the burning cold and brain freeze it brings. This has been their routine for the past week. Drinking, planning and drinking more. Due to the amount of drinking they've been doing, they haven't even hatched a tenth of the plan. After a whole lot more of secret spilling from both sides. They both fall asleep, only to wake up five hours later. They're a little bit sobber now but they're having one hell of a hangover. Lash presses the almost invisible button on her cushion and Angela appears a few minutes later. Lash orders her to bring the freshly squeezed lime juice and she does just that.

Sinclair and notice his hair is now disheveled due to the amount of times he has run his hand through the strands. “First days am I right.” That, at least, earns me a chuckle, and with that my mind settles.

Concern laced his tone. I sighed out, running a frustrated hand through my hair. “She left this morning. She actually had the nerve to leave a note and some hundred dollar bills,” I muttered. Silence. Then Adrian's voice, as he erupted in a fit of laughter. “I'll end the call if you continue.” “There's no fucking way!” he said between bouts of laughter. “She seriously did that?” “Yea.” “Damn. Your ego must be thoroughly bruised. Well, I mean, isn't that better? Many girls would kill to have another go with you, and you've always said it's annoying. I mean, this is exactly why you fired Lara, right?”

These people were either planning to murder me, or somehow caught wind of the fact that I wanted to file a case against them. I put on my own fake smile, helped little Becky to a seat close to Elena and sat down on my own seat. Adam quickly dished out my food, before sliding into the chair beside me. “Heard you had a hangover, Rebecca. How're you feeling now?” One of Adam's friends asked, taking a sip of his juice. I turned to look at Adam, he turned to his friend immediately and cleared his throat dramatically. “She's fine now, Ric,” “That's good. The humor in his eyes almost made me giggle. "Brett. I almost never drink. Why didn't you thwart this plan? One day was a rarity-two in a row is like a unicorn." SKYLAR I groan and lift my hand to my head as it thumps. I have never had any alcohol before, so I wouldn’t know what a hangover felt like, but some of the runaways I had hanged with for at least a short time had and what I was feeling seemed to be what I saw in them and what they described it to feel like. However, I know that I didn’t drink anything yesterday that would warrant me having a hangover, so whatever was in that small dart I had pulled out of my neck must be the cause of it.

He vomited for a long time, giving the quantity of wine he had consumed the previous day. When he opened his eyes again, he realised that he passed out again in the bathroom!
