He failed to get anything at all which was quite odd because his wolf never failed to alert him if there was danger anywhere. "I can't get anything... Are you sure baby?" He asked. "Yes... I mean, I think so. There's something strange going on here." Sylvia said.

"You're scaring Mommy, baby. I'm really scared, so if you could just wake up for me…" Before I can finish the sentence, Harry's eyes snap fully open. For just a heartbeat, they look completely normal, like the same warm brown I see in the mirror every morning. But then they flash, bright and unmistakably golden, the exact same color I've seen in Jaxon's eyes when his wolf is close to the surface, when he's about to shift. The recognition of what's happening hits me hard. My breath catches in my throat and I don’t have a second to process what I just saw because Harry’s shrieks once again cut through me like a serrated blade.

The way he nibbled his lower lip and glanced down at my mouth made me very aware of his gaze.
