I caught him in the corridor, just before he reached his chambers to arm himself. "Androkles," I said, my voice low and urgent. He turned, his expression unreadable. "Hypatos." "Listen to me," I said, my gaze intense. "That thing out there... It's not a glorious battlefield trophy. It's not a test to be passed. It's chaos and terror given flesh. It doesn't fight with honor or strategy. It just... destroys. Don't be a hero. Be smart. Be a survivor. Come back." For a moment, something flickered in his eyes, a hint of the boy beneath the warrior. Then it was gone, replaced by the familiar, unnerving calm.

I could feel it flowing into me as a cool soothing feeling battled with the anger and burning rage.
