Hastily, I open the door and stride inside the secret room, and slowly, it automatically closes the door when I push a button inside the secret room. I keep hearing that they bang the door and strive to come inside the house. Then, they successfully barge into the house. "Drianna?! Are you here?!" A man exclaims.

He was almost there. One step. Anderson stretched out his hand with a hidden smile on his face, about to open the door when it opened inward on its own. It was not that the doors were automatic. Every other door was like those double-leaf doors used in the hospitals so there was no way for them to open on their own.

The doors were massive, made of heavy metal and stone, built to keep people out. But now, as we approached, they began to move. Great gears turned deep within the walls. Heavy chains groaned. Slowly, majestically, the doors swung open wide.

Cold and quiet. And somewhere deep in the mansion, a door that should stay locked clicked softly. Doris did not hear it. Not yet.

“I don’t know.” Noah rested his hand on the globe and slowly turned it. Nothing happened. He frowned before rotating it again in the opposite direction. A soft mechanical click echoed somewhere behind the shelves. Daniel spun around. “You heard that?” The bookshelf behind the desk slowly shifted several inches. Hidden behind it stood a reinforced steel door. Noah couldn’t help smiling. “My grandfather hid a room…” “…inside another hidden room.” Daniel laughed quietly. “I’ll admit, I didn’t see that coming.”
