Thistle buzzed happily around my head, whispering, “He liiiikes youuu.” “Damn right he does,” I grinned, slamming the book shut and spinning toward my wardrobe. “Okay, goth baddie armor time.” Uniforms? Meh. But custom uniforms with black fabric, tiny skulls stitched into the trim, and a perfectly pleated skirt? That’s more my vibe. I pulled on the shirt, tugged the skirt over my hips, slid on my black thigh high socks, and laced up my purple combat boots like a warrior goddess headed to war.

“Let’s do muffins. Any leftovers I’ll take with me and make the guys jealous.” She was laughing as he walked down the hall to Marie’s room. The door was opened, and he stood just out of view watching the four girls. A stack of Marie’s books had been knocked over and he decided that it must have been the crash that he heard. Marie had a sleeveless floor length empire waist dress in dark gray with bright purple trim and lace. He already knew that she chose that to pretend that it was her Hogwarts Ravenclaw uniform. Dee had a knee length pale pink tea dress with a navy sash and trim. Taylor had a similar dress with tiny white flowers all over the pale blue material with white lace at the hem.

When Faina had drank the potion and gone back to her seat, Elma continued, "alright, that would be all for today." After Elma had left the class, Sybil bustled in with a group servants behind him. "Good evening class!" He said, standing before the class while the servants distributed two pairs of clothes to each witch; cotton shirts and woolen breeches. "Some of your classes are not suitable to be had in a classroom, they're to had outside, as they involve a lot of, er, movements which cannot be done wearing a gown. Which is why some clothes are being given to you now. You will be notified by me when you're to wear these clothes as they would be worn for a whole day.

Red and gold banners hung in the top two towers with an emblem that I guessed was the schools. “Holy shit, I’m at Hogwarts,” Not realizing I said that out loud. “Only better,” she whispered in my ear, making me jump. “Come let me show you why it’s better. I looked at the grounds and school in awe. All of the students had black and white uniforms with a gold seal on the shirt. The girls wore checkered skirts with white blouses, and gray stockings. While the boys were in black slacks, a white button up and a red and black striped tie.

But I was surprised to see how well the uniform fit me, even though it had looked big before I wore it. "It’s enchanted. It takes the size of the person who wears it for the first time after the spell." Lana said from behind me. "Witches are amazing." I said, checking my uniform in the mirror. Our cupboards had separate mirrors for each of us, which made getting ready much quicker. The uniform was nice and I really liked it. It was a navy-blue checked blazer with light brown piping, gold buttons, and the academy’s emblem on the chest. Beneath the blazer was a white shirt with a red collar. A corner desk had new parchment along with magic quills, and shelves were lined high with ancient, blank tomes to be inscribed. My closet creaked as it swung open, showing the uniforms in my size: the silver-buttoned, black-coated uniforms, blouses, and cloaks in plain black trim. When I touched one of the cloaks, the lining of it came to life in red and gold threads, and the picture of the broken crown was for one moment before it disappeared.

While others appeared to be just flirting with each other. The women wear fitted long-sleeved blouses with antique buttons. Some were in black high-waist skirts while some wore fitted black trousers, and boots. They were all wearing different shades of pendants on their necklaces. I noticed some extraordinary students lurking around, who had a thin collar around their neck that resembled the coiled serpent on the crest. They stood at a distance from other students who were laughing, flirting, practicing filthy spells, and touching each other in public. There were also some shy and introverted new students like me, and that made me feel at home.

Changed to a black dress code and wore his head with a cap. He had a bag of safe contained potions. One blue that was in a large tube and the second green was set in a smaller test tube whereas the third one had already been deposited inside a needle shimmering in a bring purple cloth set inside a specimen bag and packed carefully in a small transparent containing case.

Monday came faster than expected and all students were dressed smartly in their school uniform which was a combination of light blue short sleeved shirt and grey slacks for the guys and a grey flared skirt which was just above the knee for the senior girl and pinafore for the junior girls. Jewel wore her uniform and complimented it with black high tops sneakers, her white socks showing. Her tie was loose around her neck and her hair was packed in a donut bun. She was just stuffing her back pack with books when Henrietta walked in.
