Never Meant to Stay
The two of them smiled at each other from time to time, and the air was thick with that cloying scent of love.
So Theo was being treated at this hospital, too.
I lowered my head, clutching my aching stomach, and hid around a corner. For some reason, I didn't want to face them.
It made me feel sick.
Ironically, they stopped by the window and didn't leave. They even started chatting casually.
Theo spoke first, his voice weak.
"Thanks for everything, Bianca. I didn't expect that you'd stay by me in the end. Honestly, you're the person I've let down the most in this life."
