The Rest Is Light

The Rest Is Light

I swiftly, icily replied, "I can handle myself, Mr. Porter. You should save your concern for yourself." A dark cloud passed through his eyes before he grabbed my arm, his grip so tight that it felt like my bones might snap. "Joanna, you can ask me for one favor–as long as it doesn't hurt Rebecca. I owe you that much." I looked down, thinking to myself, 'Yeah, you owe me big time, from a whole other life.' Right then, Rebecca strolled up, all smiles, hooking her arm through Calvin's. "Calvin, Jo, what's all the serious talk about?"

Inverted light

Inverted light

Ernesta asked confusedly. Manager and Arian were as surprised as Ernesta, and they did not understand why Liam gave. Maybe because Ernesta Noah's eyes were ugly, he didn't like it. "Disadvantage, with the too strong light environment will reduce vision somewhat." Liam looked directly at Ernesta, reading out the information on her resume. “Did I read it right?” Liam asked coldly. "You read it right." Ernesta also did not want to waive. “So what? What do you mean?"

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

The honest window is always the window that serves the attending without asking the attending to serve it. He wrote in the pocket notebook: Thomas's letter. The letter held at the angle that reduced the glare — the body performing the correction. The directional city light moves across the floor: the city light is an event, the coastal light is a condition. The section for the condition draws the receiving. The section for the event draws the managing. Thomas: what the reading room needs is the light that does not interrupt the attending. The honest window makes the light invisible to the attending it holds. The honest window does not ask to be noticed. The honest window asks to be used.

The Lycan King's Substitute Wife

The Lycan King's Substitute Wife

Hope "What are you doing?" I asked Light, trying my best to keep my voice leveled and hide the fear I felt in my chest. "You are not ready to join me. Without you being with me, I can't let other people have you and use you against me." Light explained with a detached tone. "Are you crazy?! You want to kill me just because I don't believe in your nonsense and cruel actions!? Light, what is wrong with you?!" I exploded at her, but she wasn't fazed by my words.

Alpha's Regret: Can You Love Me Again?

Alpha's Regret: Can You Love Me Again?

Light gritted her teeth, trying to free her hand from his grasp. Edge shot her a blank stare but didn't release her. Instead, he pulled her closer. "Stop squirming," he ordered firmly. The elevator doors opened, and more people stepped inside, leaving no space between them. Edge positioned himself in front of Light, shielding her from the prying eyes and ensuring she had enough room to stand comfortably. She looked at him in surprise, enveloped by his scent. Memories of the night they spent together, his hands and arms wrapped around her against the wall during the party, made her cheeks flush with embarrassment.

Alpha Hybrid Queen

Alpha Hybrid Queen

I then began to recite the words, and happily I heard the others doing so, too. “Moon goddess, shine your light down from up high and highlight the place that I wish to seek.” I began repeating the words over and over and then suddenly there was this bright, sparklingly beautiful light and I almost opened my eyes to shield myself from it. But I held them closed, knowing it would break the spell. To see what you couldn’t see, you must first not see what you could see.

His Three Alphas

His Three Alphas

A gentle golden light bloomed in his palm, small and steady, flickering like a candle flame. “Perfect,” I said softly. “Keep breathing. Make it a little brighter, but stay calm. Don’t let it spike.” The light grew slowly, controlled and even. Rowan smiled with his eyes still closed. “I did it. It feels different this way… like I’m holding it instead of chasing it.” “That’s exactly what we want,” I told him. “Now open your eyes and look at the light. Keep it steady while you stand up slowly.” He opened his eyes and rose carefully. The light remained steady in his palm.

The Light In His Dark

The Light In His Dark

Definitely not the greatest day to escape a compound and committing a murder of two men. Just when I'm almost set on giving up completely and laying down in this soft-looking snow, I catch a bright light peering through the heavy snowfall getting closer and closer. Soon enough, a person appears behind it and I can make out a homestead a few yards behind them. "Identify yourself!" The person yells through the wailing of the wind.
