" After much back and forth of discussion, it was decided that the Council would consist of ten members: Daemon and Adriana, Zayne and Hannah, Alise and Reneé, Alastair and Amara, Asher and myself. “But I have a question. How did the Council get this information so fast? These reports are stamped within hours of yesterday.” I saw it then. A small flicker in her eyes. Irritation, maybe. She hid it fast. “The Council maintains wide monitoring networks,” she said. “When something this large happens, we know right away.” “I see,” I said. “And what does the Council want us to do about it?” “That is why I came,” she said, rising to her feet. “The Council can help contain what is happening. But it would require your Luna to work with our specialists. We need her help to understand these awakenings.”

“Visitation here would be fine. Plus, Bryan has been begging to come to this club for years now.” Morgan actually laughed. “Well, consider your name permanently on the list. All three of you. I will be gone for the few months though, remember cub.” I nodded. “The council meeting right?” Morgan frowned. “I think we are voting on a new High Council member. As I am debating approaching them, an attendant invites me to meet the Council. I enter their tent, and I’m directed to a seat facing the five members of the Council, including Selene. She gives me a comforting smile, and I immediately feel more relaxed. I notice the absence of the honorary member of the Council, Alpha Draco, the Alpha of the Silva Moon Pack. Many have never seen him, as he rarely attends council meetings. The Council awarded him the title of an honorary member for his fighting prowess as the strongest shifter in all the Werewoods.
