“How long more do you intend on staying outside? Come home right now.” The phrase ‘come home’ made Catherine feel bitter deep down. “Is that still my home?” “Catherine, if you still don’t come back now, don’t come back forever. We’re not your dad and mom anymore.” Sally hung up once she was done speaking. After some hesitation, Catherine eventually decided to return home. After all, Jeffrey and Sally were the ones who raised her. She also wanted to bring home the recording containing Henry’s words and let them hear it so that they would become aware of Rebecca’s true colors.

With a collective turn, they waved at her and called out to her. "Come on, Margot, let's head back to the dormitory." Somewhat embarrassed, Margot replied, "I need to go home. I won't be going back to the dormitory. You all go ahead." Her colleagues didn't insist. After all, Margot was a local and had a home. This set her apart from their situations, as they had left their hometowns to earn a living. After watching her colleagues depart, Margot, though hesitant, walked to the roadside to hail a cab home. She would return to the residence she shared with Curtis.

Kate helped me into the SUV and then climbed in behind me. She wrapped her arms around me as I cried into her neck. I had so many emotions rolling over me. Leaving my mate was the hardest thing I would have to do. Finding out my parents were alive. And now returning to the one place I feared I would never return … home. But it was no longer the home I remembered. The home I remembered had friends, a boyfriend, and a future. This was a place I would visit. I had fond memories of growing up there, but the painful memories were still fresh. Was I making a mistake returning home? The problem was I had nowhere else I could go.

It's been three years since she passed away and I would give anything just to talk to her again. Looking down the beach I can see the huge bonfire burning about a mile away in the distance. At the end of every summer, before school starts back up we have a full moon party on the beach. There are bonfires, dancing, and giant glow in the dark mason jars mixed full of 7 different flavors of rum. We start walking in that direction, "I didn't realize they'd be playing tonight." She whispers, squeezing my hand, and laughing excitedly.

His eys seemed to say, “This is what I have to deal with in my home every day.” Well, that’s your choice. And that’s when Jessica traced where Cicio’s eyes had gone, and found me. Jessica stopped all the tears at once when she spotted me. Somehow she stood more straight in front of me. “Why are you here?” She asked coldly. “I didn’t get the invitation to your homecoming party. Apparently my Don got one.” She pointed at Cicio. As if the dramatic catastrophe at this moment wasn’t enough for her, Jessica snatched the collar of her son and flung him right in my direction.

**Homecoming** The familiar scent of home—the faint aroma of Claire’s lavender candles, the comforting smell of old wood, and the lingering hint of last night’s rain—filled the air as the Hayes family finally stepped through their front door. Despite the exhaustion from the relentless chase and the constant threat looming over them, the warmth of their home brought a fleeting sense of safety.
