I picked my way past the bloodstains and made my way to apartment 603. "Hey, are you home?" I pushed the door open. It was dark inside. The soft patter of rain and the low rumble of thunder answered me. The living room was dark, but the bedroom light was on. A warm yellow glow spilled from the doorway, casting a rectangle of light across the floor. I kept my guard up. The door was left open, after all. The guy in 603 had clearly seen someone at my door, so why would he open his? In the bedroom, a man was lying on his side on the bed. It looked like no one else was in the apartment. I hurried over and tapped the man.

Very soon the complete room was in floods. The bed beside her shakes violently horrifying her moving in rounds and a mark on it appears as if there was a person sitting on it. A sharp sniffing sound hits her ears like the person was smelling her standing right beside her. "My beauty" it was the same vicious tone accompanied in chuckles which sent shivers down her spine. "I had been hungry for you since ages and finally you are born, with inviting shapes and sizes." There was hunger in every word he spoke sending shivers down her spine.

The old wooden door stood wide open, swinging slightly as if warning her to stay away. She stopped, her body freezing for a moment as confusion and fear crept across her face. Slowly, she raised her hand and gently pushed the door open with a faint creak. She stepped inside... and a living nightmare unfolded before her eyes. The floor was stained with patches of dried blood, the walls streaked with dark, stiff stripes. Rotting bodies were scattered throughout the room—maggots mercilessly devouring flesh, crawling out of eye sockets, mouths, and abdominal cavities.

I added slyly as I made my way into the bedroom. He stood in a place for a moment longer before following me into the room. I was astonished at how big the big room was. It had a king-sized bed with a ton of dressers. There was also an attached bathroom which I was relieved to see. Like everything else in the villa, his furniture was dark, and his curtains were closed tightly, making the room appear gloomy. I now understood that it was because the sun makes vampires ill, but I wasn’t a vampire and I wasn’t going to keep this room looking gloomy.

He covered his mouth that doubled the size of his fist-like eyes and whispered towards Maleficent, who was fidgeting while watching her father walked around the room. Debris was scattered on the tiled floor. The crumpled furniture laid like broken toys smashed by a child’s tantrum. The wallpapers were torn as if a werewolf visited her overnight – though she did not know if werewolves existed in the Ambivalent Dormitory.

The door which she was always wary of, leading to her wardrobe room much bigger than a normal house living room, became a place for numerous clothes, different types of them. Yet, all the fancy feed her fear like throwing a dead tree to the angry fire. The fluorescent sticker on the ceiling wasn't supposed to live and laugh but every night she saw them dancing and mocking her, crying at the corner seeming to be angry about something. House of Terror Inside the house, the air was thick with damp rot and fear. Elias walked past the torn couch, into the back room. The door creaked open. The room was dimly lit by a single hanging bulb, buzzing like a dying fly. It reeked of sweat, mold, and fear. And scattered around the room were the girls. Seven of them. Huddled together. Thin. Terrified. Their eyes widened when the door burst open. Some backed into corners. Others began to cry.

The next second, the Patchwork Monster tore the man in half. He tossed the body outside casually. Just then, a crisp, bell-like voice sounded outside. “It’s after work hours, who’s so rude as to be throwing bodies around?” A young girl with three heads and eight arms appeared at the doorway. With just one look at the shop, anger filled her voice, and her hair stood on end. “Who the hell had a death wish and smashed the Number One Must-Eat shop in the entire horror game?”

I whispered, clinging to him as though my grip alone could tether him to reality. He let out a low, guttural sound that was half growl, half scream. His eyes flickered between the warmth I knew and a blinding white light that seemed to pierce the shadows around us. Sparks from the exposed machinery danced across the walls, reflecting off the slick sweat on his skin, making him look like some creature from another world.
