He spoke a few sentences with the author and in no time Nathan realized that Ley wanted to take advantage of his profession to spread the words around. It would still be horror. Elements of supernatural were okay to include in them. Her only thought was to barricade herself from the impending danger. As she reached her room, she slammed the door shut, panting heavily. Her hands trembled as she fumbled for the lock, securing it with a sense of temporary relief. Peering through the window, she witnessed the nightmare she had feared—the vampires, a merciless horde, descended upon the kingdom, their eyes gleaming with malevolence. The peaceful night shattered as chaos erupted, the vampires unleashing a killing spree upon the unsuspecting villagers. Panic gripped the air as screams of terror mingled with the clash of steel. The kingdom, once a haven of tranquility, transformed into a battleground of life and death.

It’s a silence with dread, a prelude to an impending peril. I inadvertently turn my gaze to the direction of the balcony. Through the curtains, three dark, hulking figures lurk, their eyes gleaming with a malevolent hunger. “No!” I yell. At the exact moment my word explodes out of my trembling lips, the balcony doors swing open with a violent gust of wind, and a chilling breeze sweeps through the living area. I watch in horrified disbelief as three monstrous figures emerge from the shadows, their eyes aglow with death. These are no ordinary intruders. The long, horror hand of the monster shot forward without warning, wrapping tightly around the blogger’s neck before he could even react. A strangled gasp escaped him. Then the creature’s head forced its way through the doorway. Its jaws stretched unnaturally wide, revealing rows of jagged, bloodstained teeth. Crunch! In a single, horrifying motion, it bit clean through the blogger’s neck. Blood splattered violently across the room, painting the walls and floor in res. The sound of the man’s scream was cut off almost instantly, reduced to nothing more than a wet, choking gurgle as his body went limp.

And that night, my real journey began—a descent into the haunted forest, where the main battle awaited me. The place was cloaked in shadows, dense with twisted trees, thick vines, and hanging moss that obscured the sky. I felt eyes watching me, lurking just out of sight. The chill of the night air pricked by my skin, every step filled with dread. Bones littered the ground under an ancient tree, each one a silent warning of the horrors waiting up ahead. In the distance, a scary cave loomed. The thick, damp air reeked of decay and rot. It was as if death itself had settled here and made a home out of the shadows. The smell clung to my throat like smoke, sour and suffocating.

As his trembling subsided, he began to share his tale. His voice was a shaky whisper, barely audible over the howling wind. He spoke of a middle-aged man, a stranger he had seen in the hallway, his description so detailed it was as if he was painting a picture with his words. The man's face, his clothes, even the way he moved, every detail was etched into the old man's memory. But the horror didn't end there. The old man claimed that he had witnessed the stranger commit the gruesome act. His voice quivered as he described the brutal scene that unfolded before his eyes, the man transforming into a monstrous being, his humanity slipping away as easily as a snake shedding its skin.

It turns out that there are benefits to telling Alicia horror stories. He sat on the edge of the bed with his legs stretched out. He leaned his head on the headboard and is planning something. "I used to get punished by a college friend... I was in Bristol England, we did a challenge to the most haunted place in the UK. We drove to Oxford in a car belonging to a rich friend of mine... he drove for hours and we arrived at Oxford castle and prison. It's a haunted place there... The atmosphere was very scary and I was really scared...." Alex was just telling the story and Alicia threw a pillow at him in annoyance.

Just like in my dream, only this time I was able to move, to take a stand for myself. I was getting angrier by the second. I knew that I was no match for him and that my savior was only in my dream; my anger reached an alarming level.
