What followed was a gust of wind that hit our faces exposing a large, magnificent castle with a colossal structure of a werewolf in front, possessing a key between its jaws. We walked in simultaneously stride after stride. After about twenty minutes we reached into the castle. “Listen carefully, follow the right, right and middle. That's the row you’ll find room 7089 and that's your room.” She said, her tone brimmed with self assurance. “Look, I don’t have any clothes now. When I got out of the portal I couldn't see any of my things.” “You carried things through a portal.” She replied, chuckling.

"I'll treat you well." His voice remained calm. "You'll never have to worry about being abandoned." Something inside her chest tightened painfully. "You'll never have to worry about your mother." The room suddenly felt smaller now. "All you have to do is say yes." Before Marilyn could respond, the lounge door opened. Both of them turned. Doctor Harrison stepped inside. The older man's eyes immediately widened when he recognized Raymond. "Mr. Stewart." Raymond nodded politely. "Doctor." Doctor Harrison approached them with a professional smile. "I apologize for interrupting."

~Arineth~ The chamber was a quiet refuge from the chaos brewing beyond its heavy oak doors, a small, shadowed space carved into the heart of Katula’s ancient castle, where the air hung thick with the scent of melted wax and weathered stone. The walls were adorned with faded carvings—intricate depictions of fae warriors wielding blades forged from starlight, their forms locked in eternal battle against swirling tempests that seemed to writhe in the flickering candlelight.

My lungs heaved, lungs burning as if I had sprinted miles. I whipped my head around, searching for Mom or that meadow. But… she was gone. Instead, I was in a room dimly lit by dozens of flickering candles. The air was thick with the scent of herbs and something metallic. A wide salt circle was drawn on the floor where I sat. And right outside the circle sat Cassian, along with two graceful, white-haired elders. All three had their hands joined, eyes closed, murmuring in a language that felt ancient, vibrating in my bones.

Sera POV The council chamber was already full when I entered, and that alone told me this was not meant to be a discussion. Wolves lined the walls in rigid formation, their expressions carefully neutral, their attention fixed on the raised dais where the elders sat. Torches burned low, casting uneven light that exaggerated every shadow, every shift of posture. The room had been arranged to intimidate. I felt it immediately, the deliberate imbalance of power pressing inward. I did not bow. Instead, I walked to the center of the chamber and stopped, feet planted firmly against the stone floor. I might not be the type to rip someone's entrails out through their nose, but the mountain howled in me too. I smiled at that, pulling out the little charm Arielle had given me to decorate my desk. It was supposed to be a soothing desk lamp or something like that. An invention of someone in the Mountainhowl that was damn hard to get a hold of. Mine had my name on it in pretty, curling letters and took the form of a little castle. A castle for a princess. The little flags rose from within the little castle, billowing a soothing, soft blue. I grabbed a pen, a highlighter, and opened the prior quarter's records before getting to work organizing the pages in the proper order.

At the end of the hallway stood a grand door, slightly ajar. I pushed it open, stepping into the piano room. The room was a masterpiece of gothic elegance. Tall, arched windows draped with heavy velvet curtains allowed slivers of moonlight to filter in, casting ethereal patterns on the polished wooden floor. An ornate chandelier hung from the vaulted ceiling, its crystals catching the light in a mesmerizing dance. The walls were adorned with dark, intricate wallpaper, and antique candelabras stood sentinel in each corner, their flames flickering gently. In the center of the room sat a grand piano, its ebony surface gleaming under the subdued light.

Later that night, in the luminous and adorned castle, Caspian, Lorenzo, and Javier were arranging the gifts beneath the heavily ornamented tree that towered over the room. Seated on the cushion, Ramona, Tiana, and Michelle were laughing and chatting while sipping hot coffee. Stepping into the room, Roman stared at the flame rising and dancing above his palm. Dante, who was in his arms, was looking curiously at the fire and clapping excitedly.

All the while their kiss deepened into gasps, and moans, willing themselves onto the other. Those that are left around them break their silence as the two carry on. The first howl is one he knows. It’s low and gruff, expectant that all who were in the woods now would come to respect their Goddess’ terms, human, half breed or werewolf. Zane’s howl could be heard for miles if he so chose to do it too, but this one seemed to stay put. The next to join in was the woman beside him, Candice, who had no business howling really, but she did.

Cassandra once again screamed, enough to annoy the three Hunts who were patiently waiting for her downstairs. And that moment, she didn't just hear one thundering voice but three! Liam and the twins both yelled in annoyance. Cassandra only frowned but still didn't lose the happy smile on her lips. "Killjoy." Cassandra rolled her eyes and whispered.
