She Belongs To The Sky

She Belongs To The Sky

It doesn't go easy; it goes fighting to curve the tips of my lips, every step of the way. "So you are one of these "O thy flowers are blue, O thy bum-bum is brown people" ". I laugh myself silly. "What was that? Please tell me you were trying joking. Please!" I beg. "Like it or not that's what you poets sound like to me." He smirks. "You poets? Seriously? So I am now part of "you poets". Heartbreaking." I say clutching my chest in mock horror. "Don't take it personal." He chuckles. Then he goes back to squinting at the next scrawl. It's a wonder he can even comprehend my handwriting. Aunty Seedy jokes that my writing is "fowl scratch". You should see hers.

She then started laughing like crazy. “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall All the king’s horses and all the king’s men Couldn’t put Humpty together again. ” My body shaked as I heard the nursery rhyme. The way she sang it is so creepy that it made us shiver.

The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

He was silent for a while before starting to slowly swirl his head from side to side and reciting. “Drinking deep into Autumn's night. “Feeling like puking the next day’s light. “Though I was annoyed and bored. “I lamented.” The minute he finished, he anxiously asked Penny, “Gorgeous Penny, my poem is pretty meaningful right? Do you think I have hopes of becoming the champion?” At his words, Jewel could not help but spit the candy in her mouth out before smiling and said, “Haha! Mister, this man’s poem is interesting. He just did doggerel! Haha!”

The Wife Who Returned

The Wife Who Returned

"You make me want to write sonnets. Bad ones, probably." "Try me," I teased, giggling as we swayed. "Alright." He cleared his throat dramatically. "Roses are red, violets are blue, you're stunning in silver, and I love you." I burst out laughing, drawing stares. "That's awful! But… sweet. Keep going." He whispered more silly rhymes about my eyes, my laugh, until I was giggling uncontrollably, cheeks flushed. "You're ridiculous," I said, but my heart swelled.

she quoted. Your voice is like a bird, but everyone’s ears are bleeding. From the inside, your house shines and shines, but from the outside, you can see it’s built from bones. From out here, it looks like a graveyard, and the garden’s all ash. And besides, your breath stinks. We’re through. She remembered a poem she read by Ross Gay years ago and burst out into laughter. " The last line always gets me." She laughed harder, almost falling off her bed.

Iridian

It was surprising our Alpha and Luna had let her move there, considering she was very much human. Mrs. Juniper absolutely adored poetry, mostly the classics. I’d never forget the endless headaches I suffered trying to decipher what Shakespeare, Robert Frost, and Alfred Tennyson were trying to convey. Why poets had to make such simple lessons so confusing was beyond me. Why did they have to use pretty words to convey truth? ‘This doesn’t seem to be so hard.’ Rayna countered, murmuring the words to the poem in my head. ‘It mentions beasts twice, which has to be the bulls, right?’

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.

The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

Hiding the Alpha's Twins

Hiding the Alpha's Twins

I suggested, eager to steer the conversation away from the matrimonial topic. "Can we sing 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'?" Julia's eyes gleamed with a spark of hope. "Absolutely," I chuckled, launching into a slightly off-key rendition of the nursery rhyme, hoping it would lull them into a peaceful sleep, filled with dreams of a happy, whole family. "Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb..." The butchered rendition of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" died a mercifully quick death. Halfway through the first verse, the melody dissolving into something resembling a strangled cat, the twins erupted in a fit of giggles.

How Do I Seduce My Married Bodyguard?

DeeDee said, clasping her hands to her chest. Ryden twitched next to me and I fought the urge to look at him, because I was pretty certain I would start laughing and not stop if I saw the look on his face. It was obvious enough the poem was about him, wasn’t it? “Shouldn’t poems rhyme?” I muttered. Stu glanced at me, and the pity in his face made me want to deck him. But I didn’t. “It’s so cliché for poems to rhyme nowadays,” he said eagerly.
