Hunter hollered, his voice thundering across the field. He was pissed and I don’t know why, but the thought pleased me. I looked back over at Kyra, who had ignored Hunter and threw a blast of energy and fire fuzed together, at Rex. It hit him with enough force he was thrown back and went through the side of the storage building. She hit me with that same attack earlier, but it hadn’t been that hard.

She pressed her back against the door to avoid him but there was no escape. Theodore leaned his head closer, dark hair falling dangerously over his eyes. “It’s just the beginning. Look at me Cathy,” he urged her. When she continued to avoid his gaze he hooked a finger beneath her chin and lifted her face. Cathy’s breath caught in her throat. When he was close like this she couldn’t deny the raw attraction between them. But it was so wrong. Minus the fact that he abducted her, which by the way she still wanted to strangle him for, he was a Hunter, her nemesis and she was a wolf. I don’t know at the moment, but that’s what I planned it to be. Hunter is a complex character. We saw him change a bit in the continuation of the book, and now we also know Diane is going to leave him, even after giving birth to his twins. Scarlett accused him of once feeling something for Oliver, but we know from his interactions with those around him that Hunter has been nothing but vicious and has probably never felt love for anyone really. I’ll leave you to speculate on how Oliver’s death comes into play here. Maybe it was a major event into making him who he became, or maybe it didn’t matter at all. Go wild people : )

Crystal Snow POV I can't believe I just heard Hunter saying he is sorry for something. This big man never said anything like this to probably anyone in his life.
